The Great Wall
Unquestionably synonymous with the Chinese history is The Great Wall. A visit to the Great Wall is a must for all travelers who have the opportunity to visit Beijing. The Forbidden City
The Forbidden City brings travelers from around the world to admire the largest grouping of spectacular houses in China. Throughout its history, 24 emperors lived in these palaces dating back to when construction began on these buildings in the early 1400s. The palaces are extremely well preserved and give tourists a fascinating glimpse into the past. Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses
Just over 30 km away from Xi'an is a place where the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses were located. In the early 1970s farmers in this area accidentally stumbled upon ancient artifacts while working in this area. After an extensive archaeological dig, it was found that this was home to a giant pit in which there were thousands of Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses. Future digs would uncover more pits and Terra-Cotta Warriors. This is certainly a valuable national treasure, and a visit to China will be enhanced by this experience.
Yellow Mountain (Mt. Huangshan)
This spectacular region is well known for its magnificent settings including strange stone, cloud sea, pine forest, and hot spring. Yellow Mountain is recognized as one of the most famous mountains in all of China. This provides a fascinating experience as this mountain has over 70 peaks. It offers a sensational opportunity for fabulous scenery and wonder, not to mention this is certainly one of the best locations to view a sunrise in all of China.
