It is a significant piece of history and sure to be intriguing to students of history who come to visit Singapore. It can be found on the north side of the Singapore River.
Singapore Zoo
No trip to Singapore would be complete without a visit to this wonderful zoo, especially if you are travelling with children. This zoo has an interesting design wherein the animals are not kept in cages, but allowed to roam "free". They actually are enclosed by glass walls, but it is a much more pleasant effect than cage bars, and this zoo is very popular in Singapore especially for this reason. One attraction at the zoo, the Fragile Forest, exhibits butterflies and fascinating types of local, native insects that won't soon be forgotten! There is also a "Wonders of the Wild" animal show available at the Singapore Zoo which is incredibly popular and sure to be a memorable experience for anyone visiting Singapore.
