Pristine, beautiful, calm, serene.. these are the words that come to your mind once you reach this place.God's own country is just about the right medicine to refresh oneself from the busy and hectic life in a city.

Food is traditionally south Indian but they also offer some Chinese stuff. Lot of non veg option - specially fresh fish & shrimps. Shopping in Kerala is mainly fresh tea, spices, dry fruits and oils (Ayurvedic).

My advice to fellow travellers
Munnar can be considered a monsoon destination. The Fresh smell of cardamom & spices, the tea plantations, the clouds and the mist which almost brush your face and above all the rain and the wet weather just leaves permanent etchings on ones mind.

My views/experience about the destination
A popular weekend getaway for people from mumabi. Matheran is a very nice & quiet hill station for trekking. It has many point around 30-40. It is very good place for athletes. Very close to Mumbai and ideal stress buster. Matheran is one the best weekend destination in Maharashtra. The weather is pleasantly cold through out the year. Thousands of visitors visit the place every week. No cars!! No traffic, no noise, no pollution, Matheran is what a hill station should be. Board a train from Mumbai CST (Karjat or Khopoli local) to nerel about 2hrs. of journey. From nerel either toy train or shuttle cab.cab will take 20 minutes.

You will get mostly all types of Indian Food. Just relax and enjoy the weather. Echo Point, Panorama Point (Sunrise Point), Porcupine Point (Sunset Point), One tree Hill, Garbut Point, Heart Point, Rambag Point, Charlotte Lake are some of the places to visit. Matheran has a very small market place. Matheran is most famous for its 'chikki', a strongly recommended purchase.

Get a Karjat of Khopoli bound train from Mumbai CST and get down at Neral. From Neral you can get a joyous ride to hills in the mini train. By road you can reach only upto Dasturi. From there you have to walk on your feet or you can ride on horse back or hand pulled rickshaw. You The best time to go to Matheran is probably from September to June as the monsoons get really heavy during the rest of the year.

Matheran is a Best Hill Station In mumbai it is best to vist when it is rainy .The Climate is cool .For hangouts its best place where we can enjoy & have lots of fun to make the trip happening they provide the mini train which attract the tourist .Travelling by train is less expensive .&now a days people r very health concious so they will prefer more by train rather than bus or any other vehicle .If i will get an opportunity i will surly visit that place again.

My views/experience about the destination
Thailand is relatively a very common destination for tourists who want to travel international from India. Pattaya as such is an OK place but not be missed a visit to the Coral Island & the Alcazar Show. People say Bangkok is a shoppers paradise...not really as per me. Better stuffs are available in India these days, but do visit the Temple of the Reclining Buddha there.

Thai food will not be liked by all Indians, but certainly do try the same atleast once for the experience. Indian food is widely available with Indian restaurants available at every corner. Must do sightseeing in Pattaya - Coral Island, Underwater World & Alcazar Show. Do walk for experience on the Walking Street there. City tour in Bangkok can certainly be given a miss. Visit Indra Market & Pratunam for cheap shopping for clothes, bags, watches & shoes. Branded shopping can be done in MBK Mall, Siam Paragon and various other high end malls.

Do bargain during shopping and also if you wish to take the local Tuk Tuk in Bangkok & Pattaya. If you have travelled to other destinations like Singapore etc, then you will certainly not like Thailand.

We always go to Water Parks and Resorts, but one should atleast try this place for a change because Saguna Baug is a Natural Place and a very good choice for a "Peaceful destination".

Food is a delight if you are a non vegetarian. However there are fairly enough options for vegetarians as well..the Momos are a must have & are readily available throughout the state..We visited the Changu lake, which is like a half day picnic..its a beautiful glacial lake located at 12000ft above the sea level..The yumthang valley is also a must visit but needs an overnight stay...there are lots of monasteries around sikkim but the Rumtek monastry is very famous...there isnt much shopping in Sikkim except local items or souveniers..if have the time visit the nathula pass(ahead of Changu lake).its the India-China border..

My views/experience about the destination
I still remember my seven long days of vacation spent in Goa. Undoubtedly the best place on earth to be at any time any season. Goa i feel has the most beautiful places to explore not only for those who want to spend some leisure time but also for those Christians who would like to go on a pilgrimage. I truely believe Goa to be the best holiday place From the n number of beaches to the n number of beautiful miraculous churches to the wonderful nite life that Goa has. The best beach that i have been to so far is Palolem not to forget the restaurant FIPLESS that i had been to is the ultimate place to be on any day. FIPLESS is basically a restaurant which has different themes every evening. When i had been there it was a Karaoke night where i was amazed to find people of different age groups singing songs and enjoying the evening. I personally felt wonderful singing" Your Still the One" by Shania twain.Just dont think when you get a chance even for 3 days worth going not too far from Mumbai also.
