My views/experience about the destination
Pristine, beautiful, calm, serene.. these are the words that come to your mind once you reach this place.God's own country is just about the right medicine to refresh oneself from the busy and hectic life in a city.
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food is traditionally south Indian but they also offer some Chinese stuff. Lot of non veg option - specially fresh fish & shrimps. Shopping in Kerala is mainly fresh tea, spices, dry fruits and oils (Ayurvedic).
My advice to fellow travellers
Munnar can be considered a monsoon destination. The Fresh smell of cardamom & spices, the tea plantations, the clouds and the mist which almost brush your face and above all the rain and the wet weather just leaves permanent etchings on ones mind.
Yes I would recommend this destination to fellow travellers

My views/experience about the destination
The Veneto FAM trip was organized by ENIT (Italian State Tourist Board) and courtesy AlItalia. An amazing and a beautiful experience when I experienced the snowfall and witnessed the world famous Venetian Carnival, one of its kind for the first time, where temperatures were at -2 & - 3 degrees Celsius in the most romantic city. Wow!!!!!!! I can still feel the chill!!!!!!!!... We stayed at Veneto for 3 nights. Veneto is famous for the vineyards where you visit the wine cellars, vineyards and can experience wine tasting sessions.. Delicious!! You can also shop different kinds of wines at their outlets at competitive prices. If you are in Veneto, you cant ignore the villas.. they are so beautiful, rich in history and tradition and preserved so very well, with landscaped gardens and tapestries. There are villas and vineyards everywhere.. It looks like experiencing a film & shooting in reality. On the last day, we took the train to Venice (the ICE train).. again the 1st time for me to get to the Eurail. On arrival we took a " Vaparetto" (water taxi) to San Marco. It was freezing colddddddd but we all were very excited. Everyone was dressed in their favourite outfits. It was like a fancy dress competition. And not to forget the lovely and creative " masks", which is the most important feature of the carnival. The locals were getting their face painted.. so we decided to get adventurous and get our faces painted or get some tattoos done. A cool experience. It was a "happy" atmosphere. The excitement was building as we were waiting for the "Carnival Parade" and then it happened. everyone dancing, singing and cheering on the streets. I danced and paraded down the street with them. It was an amazing experience. Out of this world. I just loved every moment about it. A very well organized trip.
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food: Veneto - Delicious Wines. You can taste different varieties at the factory outlet and make purchases. Venice - local experiences of the city is a must so we got into a nice cozy local restaurant to taste the worlds famous" Pizzas", with margherita cheese dipping into our mouths. Yumm.!!!!! and a nice hot coffee to keep our body temperatures in control so we don't go numb. For the vegetarians, there is a limited choice so be prepared - my veggie friends.. but be happy you will get lots of pasta made in cheese and tomato sauce or pizzas to make up for your hunger pangs. - Food for thought! We come back again to explore San Marco Island. visit the Basilica of San Marco and the Doge's Palace, the bridge of sighs, the Grand Canal. Visit the Santa Maria dei Frari Basilica, a famous church built in gothic style. very peaceful and amazing architecture. The only thing which we all missed was the very famous Gondola ride since everything was frozen so could not do much. Shopping: You can shop for wines, souvenirs, masks, Murano Glass gift items etc. Things to do: Visit the San Marco Square and take an excursion to the Murano, Burano and Torcello islands. Your trip is incomplete without the " famous and romatic gondola ride".
My advice to fellow travellers
Beaware of your belongings. You must be very very careful of your belongings in Italy right from the time you have arrived at the airport. Don't trust anyone. Italians are not conversant with English, hence there is a language barrier to an extent. Be formally dressed during meetings, dinners etc. Food :For the vegetarians..well there is a limited choice available but the best way is to freak out on the fruits, juices and wholesome cereals during breakfast and maybe some pasta for your meal. Keeps you fit and healthy for a change! Carry maps along with you. Also carry copies of your hotel addresses when you are traveling locally. It helps! I would always suggest to carry extra copies of your air tickets, passport copies and hotel details and keep them in your luggage. You never know when you would just need them. Also carry Travellers cheques and little currency in cash. You would anyways have a credit card! So here's wishing a Happy and safe journey to all my fellow beings!! Happy Memories & Bon Voyage!

My views/experience about the destination
I have been staying for one month in Goa and most of this time at Palolem. It is an amazing place to meet people and here you have no problem finding travel companions, drinking buddies or players for a soccer game! People should know than you can do more there than just partiing or sunbathing with activities like canyoning (which I tried) or scubba-diving and fishing (which I still have to do) being available (and cheap) there, I will miss this place!

My views/experience about the destination
A popular weekend getaway for people from mumabi. Matheran is a very nice & quiet hill station for trekking. It has many point around 30-40. It is very good place for athletes. Very close to Mumbai and ideal stress buster. Matheran is one the best weekend destination in Maharashtra. The weather is pleasantly cold through out the year. Thousands of visitors visit the place every week. No cars!! No traffic, no noise, no pollution, Matheran is what a hill station should be. Board a train from Mumbai CST (Karjat or Khopoli local) to nerel about 2hrs. of journey. From nerel either toy train or shuttle cab.cab will take 20 minutes.
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
You will get mostly all types of Indian Food. Just relax and enjoy the weather. Echo Point, Panorama Point (Sunrise Point), Porcupine Point (Sunset Point), One tree Hill, Garbut Point, Heart Point, Rambag Point, Charlotte Lake are some of the places to visit. Matheran has a very small market place. Matheran is most famous for its 'chikki', a strongly recommended purchase.
My advice to fellow travellers
Get a Karjat of Khopoli bound train from Mumbai CST and get down at Neral. From Neral you can get a joyous ride to hills in the mini train. By road you can reach only upto Dasturi. From there you have to walk on your feet or you can ride on horse back or hand pulled rickshaw. You The best time to go to Matheran is probably from September to June as the monsoons get really heavy during the rest of the year.

My views/experience about the destination
Thailand is relatively a very common destination for tourists who want to travel international from India. Pattaya as such is an OK place but not be missed a visit to the Coral Island & the Alcazar Show. People say Bangkok is a shoppers paradise...not really as per me. Better stuffs are available in India these days, but do visit the Temple of the Reclining Buddha there.
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Thai food will not be liked by all Indians, but certainly do try the same atleast once for the experience. Indian food is widely available with Indian restaurants available at every corner. Must do sightseeing in Pattaya - Coral Island, Underwater World & Alcazar Show. Do walk for experience on the Walking Street there. City tour in Bangkok can certainly be given a miss. Visit Indra Market & Pratunam for cheap shopping for clothes, bags, watches & shoes. Branded shopping can be done in MBK Mall, Siam Paragon and various other high end malls.
My advice to fellow travellers
Do bargain during shopping and also if you wish to take the local Tuk Tuk in Bangkok & Pattaya. If you have travelled to other destinations like Singapore etc, then you will certainly not like Thailand.

My views/experience about the destination
Mahableshwar is a great holiday destination & hill station.
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
The food was very nice in mahabaleshwar because there are so many hotels & restaurants. Mahabaleshwar is famous for strawberries, honey, Jams, crushes and chikki. Mahabaleshwar is known for its numerous sightseeing points. We saw dinosaurs point, mountain range & old mahabaleshwar. We saw mahabaleshwar Mandir & panchganga mandir, which is famous for springs of five rivers.
My advice to fellow travellers
U can visit mahabaleshwar in jan to may because it is hill station & good place for Honeymooners. During the late-June to mid-September period, torrential rains virtually shutdown this hill station.

My views/experience about the destination
M - Magnificent A - Airy N - Nonchalant A - Arresting L - Lovely I ?σΤιΌΤΗ£ indifferent We reached our hotel - Lords Regency- in the morning. After settling down, we decided to explore the in-&-around the hotel. The hotel is located approximately 0.5 kms from main town on Manali-Rohtang Pass route, with gushing Beas river on one side and calm-&-passive hills rising majestically on the other. Hotel staff was very accommodating & cooperative. And hotel - no words to explain. We had been Hadimba Devi Temple. Surrounding the temple is a forest, where you can take leisurely walk and enjoy its beauty, but of course after paying a minimal entrance fee. You can also have a glance of Angora Rabbits & Yak. The next day we had been to Rohtang pass .It was full day trip. We started early in the morning. Weather was also pleasant. One thing to keep in mind do not forget to carry heavy woolen clothes - jacket, gloves. You can even hire these on the way. But careful about quality since lot many people use them so always take precaution. If possible carry your own stuff. Best time to Visit is between March to June
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food at Manali is very good and a bit expensive. This place is dotted with German bakeries that sell delicious goodies- brownies, cheesecakes, mouthwatering, soft , sweet rolls of bread sprinkled with raisins, cinnamon and sugar, these are available in almost all the bakeries.
My advice to fellow travellers
An excellent place & highly recommended

My views/experience about the destination
one of the most beautiful places on the planet ..its perfect for everything from a family holiday to a romantic trip or an adventure expedition....neslted in Himalayas, Sikkim has a gr8 view form evry spot..
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food is a delight if you are a non vegetarian. However there are fairly enough options for vegetarians as well..the Momos are a must have & are readily available throughout the state..We visited the Changu lake, which is like a half day picnic..its a beautiful glacial lake located at 12000ft above the sea level..The yumthang valley is also a must visit but needs an overnight stay...there are lots of monasteries around sikkim but the Rumtek monastry is very famous...there isnt much shopping in Sikkim except local items or souveniers..if have the time visit the nathula pass(ahead of Changu lake).its the India-China border..
My advice to fellow travellers
Carry walking shoes as most of the terrian is hilly...also carry adequate warm clothes as its pretty cold esply when one goes to Nathula pass, changu lake & Yumthang Valley.......
