My views/experience about the destination
'Harishchandra Fort' is hill station like Mahabaleswar of Nagar District! It lies, on the boundary of Thane, Pune and Nagar and on the left hand side of 'Malshej Ghat'. If you want to study of fort, this is one of the best example. Height: 4000 Feet Ghat: Maleshj Ghat District: Ahamed Nagar History:- 'Harishchandra Fort' is more than three and half thousand years old. In 1747-48 this fort was won by 'Maratha' Empire from 'Mughal' and 'Late Krushnagi Shinde' was appointed as care taker. How to reach:- From Pune drive via 'Aalephata' and from Mumbai you can drive via 'Kalyan-Murbad-Malshej Ghat' and reach to 'Khubiphata'. After reached 'Khubiphata' you have to walk on the dam to reach 'Khireshwar Village' (Khubiphata-Khireshwar Village - 5 km/1 hrs). From 'Khireswar Village' one needs to walk for 1 km to reach 'Nageshwar Mandir'. This is the oldest temple since in eleventh sanctuary, and is the starting point of the trek. To reach the top of 'Harishchandra Fort' via 'Tular Khind' takes 4 hrs (If you start from 'Khireshwar Village').
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Place for visiting:- 'Harischandra Temple'- Via 'Tolar Khind' you will be reach 'Rohidas Fort'. From 'Rohidas' it takes one and half hour to reach at 'Taramati Fort'. At bottom the 'Taramati Fort' there is 'Harishchandra Temple'. Just behind the Temple there is small cave. Once you enter the cave one can see an underground room. This is where 'Chandev Rishi' wrote his 'Tatvasar Grantha'. 'Kedareshwar Cave' – On the left side of 'Harishchandra Temple', there is one more cave called the 'Kedareshwar Cave'. In this cave there is an ancient 'Shivlinga' which is 1 meter high and 2 meter wide. If you have to reach to 'Shivilinga' you have to cross water which is 4-5 feet deep in the rainy season. It takes 5 minutes for one round of the 'Shivilinga' and water is very cold (During the Rains). 'Taramati Fort'- 'Taramati Fort' is 4850 feet high. There are 7 caves at the bottom of Taramati Fort. In one of the cave there is a 'Ganesh Idol' which is 8 feet in height and is called the 'Ganesh Cave'. 'Konkan Kada'- 'Konkan Kada' is a main attraction for trekkers. It's 4500 feet from the bottom. This is best sunset point during winter. One younger committed suicide from here - saying that he doesn't want live without this beauty of nature. In his memory his name is written there in marble. Living Arrangement: 7 Caves are there for night camp Foods and Drinking Water: Available at 'Khireshwar Village' and on the top of the Fort Traveling journey time: Takes 4 hrs from 'Khireshwar Village' by coming from Pune and Mumbai
My advice to fellow travellers
Visit this place once in lifetime which is heaven on the earth especially in rainy season
Yes I would recommend this destination to fellow travellers

My views/experience about the destination
Kolhapur is a city located in state of Maharashtra. Kolhapur, the town of goddess Mahalakshmi is gifted with an incredible archeological & cultural heritage, magnificent temples, monuments, forts, lakes and gardens. Kolhapur is world famous for Kolhapuri Chappals. Another field that Kolhapur prides itself of is films. In certain circles, Kolhapur was and is still considered the capital of the Marathi film industry. Legendary personalities like Bhalaji Pendharkar, Baburao Painter and V. Shantaram started their careers from Kolhapur. It has been credited as the place where Raja Harishchandra, the first feature film ever produced in India was conceptualised. Kolhapur still plays host to many film festivals and provides location for shooting. A popular location for filming has been the Rankala Lake, Banks of the river Panchganga, Panhala Fort, local farms, Mahalakshmi temple. The most recent award-winning Marathi film Natrang and many others are shot in Kolhapur. 1. Shree Chhatrapati Shahu Museum (New Palace): Shree Chhatrapati Shahu Museum, Kolhapur is a museum in Kolhapur town in Indian state of Maharashtra. The museum is housed in the new palace building completed in 1881.The costumes, weapons, games, jewellery, embroidery and paraphernalia such as silver elephant saddles and the interesting collections from the possessions of Maharaja Shahaji Chhatrapati like guns, trophies and clothes are housed in the museum. 2. The Shri Mahalakshmi Temple of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India, is one of the Shakti Peethas listed in various puranas of Hinduism. According to these writings, a Shakti Peetha is a place associated with Shakti, the goddess of power. The Kolhapur Shakti Peetha is of special religious significance being one of the six places where it is believed that one can either obtain salvation from desires or have them fulfilled. The temple takes its name from Mahalakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, and it is believed that the divine couple reside in the area. 3. Panhala Fort a hill station with fascinating and fresh landscapes. This charming place, of both historical and religious significance, is located at a distance of 18 kms from Kolhapur. The Teen Darwaza-Three Door gate meant successive doors could only be approached at an awkward angle, trapping troops in the inner courtyard and making it impossible to charge. A well in the corner was used to send word to allies; lemons with incised message were dropped into the water, and would float to a lake outside. A double story building, known as Sajja Kothi, is situated in the northeast corner of the building. It is the same place where Shivaji had imprisoned his wayward son, Sambhaji. Samadhi of Ramachandra Amatya, the author of Ajnapatra, an important work on statecraft, is also located inside the fort. Panhala Fort served as the capital of Shilahara King Bhoja II during, from 1178 to 1209. Thereafter, it went under the rule of Yadava and Bahamani Kings. Adil Shahi dynasty took over the fort in the year 1489. Their occupation continued till 1659, when Chhatrapati Shivaji took over its control by defeating the Shahis. Infact, it was from Panhala Fort only that Shivaji escaped to Vishalgarh, when he was attacked by the forces of Siddi Johar. After this, the fort remained mainly under the control of Marathas, except for the time when Mughal rulers took over it (however, their rule did not last). Till the time India attained independence, Panhala Fort remained with the Kolhapur State. Whenever you visit the Kolhapur city of Maharashtra, make sure to visit Panhala Fort and experience the royal past of the state.

My views/experience about the destination
M - Magnificent A - Airy N - Nonchalant A - Arresting L - Lovely I – indifferent We reached our hotel - Lords Regency- in the morning. After settling down, we decided to explore the in-&-around the hotel. The hotel is located approximately 0.5 kms from main town on Manali-Rohtang Pass route, with gushing Beas river on one side and calm-&-passive hills rising majestically on the other. Hotel staff was very accommodating & cooperative. And hotel - no words to explain. We had been Hadimba Devi Temple. Surrounding the temple is a forest, where you can take leisurely walk and enjoy its beauty, but of course after paying a minimal entrance fee. You can also have a glance of Angora Rabbits & Yak. The next day we had been to Rohtang pass .It was full day trip. We started early in the morning. Weather was also pleasant. One thing to keep in mind do not forget to carry heavy woolen clothes - jacket, gloves. You can even hire these on the way. But careful about quality since lot many people use them so always take precaution. If possible carry your own stuff. Best time to Visit is between March to June
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food at Manali is very good and a bit expensive. This place is dotted with German bakeries that sell delicious goodies- brownies, cheesecakes, mouthwatering, soft , sweet rolls of bread sprinkled with raisins, cinnamon and sugar, these are available in almost all the bakeries.
My advice to fellow travellers
An excellent place & highly recommended

My views/experience about the destination
I still remember my seven long days of vacation spent in Goa. Undoubtedly the best place on earth to be at any time any season. Goa i feel has the most beautiful places to explore not only for those who want to spend some leisure time but also for those Christians who would like to go on a pilgrimage. I truely believe Goa to be the best holiday place From the n number of beaches to the n number of beautiful miraculous churches to the wonderful nite life that Goa has. The best beach that i have been to so far is Palolem not to forget the restaurant FIPLESS that i had been to is the ultimate place to be on any day. FIPLESS is basically a restaurant which has different themes every evening. When i had been there it was a Karaoke night where i was amazed to find people of different age groups singing songs and enjoying the evening. I personally felt wonderful singing" Your Still the One" by Shania twain.Just dont think when you get a chance even for 3 days worth going not too far from Mumbai also.

My views/experience about the destination
one of the most beautiful places on the planet ..its perfect for everything from a family holiday to a romantic trip or an adventure expedition....neslted in Himalayas, Sikkim has a gr8 view form evry spot..
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food is a delight if you are a non vegetarian. However there are fairly enough options for vegetarians as well..the Momos are a must have & are readily available throughout the state..We visited the Changu lake, which is like a half day picnic..its a beautiful glacial lake located at 12000ft above the sea level..The yumthang valley is also a must visit but needs an overnight stay...there are lots of monasteries around sikkim but the Rumtek monastry is very famous...there isnt much shopping in Sikkim except local items or souveniers..if have the time visit the nathula pass(ahead of Changu lake).its the India-China border..
My advice to fellow travellers
Carry walking shoes as most of the terrian is hilly...also carry adequate warm clothes as its pretty cold esply when one goes to Nathula pass, changu lake & Yumthang Valley.......

My views/experience about the destination
Jordan situated in the heart of Middle East, Jordan a land of many facets.......On arrival into Amman itwas cold and chilly as any of the European cities I have witnessed in the past. The highlight of Amman is the Citadel and the Royal Automobile museum, I was not to keen in seeing the Automobile museum it was nothing but an absolute waste of time. The excitement started on the second day after an hour drive from the Capital I reached the ‘ Ajloun Castle’ enroute the scenic beauty of the olive fields and vineyards, I was indeed unfortunate not to have been there on a clear day it was something I did not want , what a miss in getting the glimpse of the Holy city ‘ Jerusalem’ but yes something kept running down my spine and it was the cold and chilly morning of Ajloun. With a late afternoon drive to ‘ Jerash’ an ancient city which was discovered only a few years back … Just wondering how could a city be discovered! But yes that is the fact and you need to be there to believe it. But this time I was fortunate to see the Chariot race which happens only twice a day and I seen the second race, I was wondering if I was in 1100 BC seeing these men ride the Horse Chariot dressed like a Gladiator. Discovered another interesting fact after visiting the roman theatre in Jerash, that if you stood at the Epicenter of the theatre and screamed out your lungs your voice will echo but if you move a inch away from the epicenter and did the same thing there would be no effect to it, WOW something that was hard to believe. Late evening I reached back to Amman and did something that I always wanted to do … Have the traditional drink the ‘ Aarak’. The third day was something that I was looking forward to ‘ Mt Nebo’ and the ‘ Dead Sea’ ( Lowest point on Earth ) both these places play a very significant role in the Holy book ‘ Bible’ . On Reaching Mt Nebo which is a 02 Hour drive from the Capital I was blessed since this was the last place where the ‘ Prophet Moses’ was seen and it couldn’t been a better place to visit this morning, after a short Prayer I left for Dead sea and stayed at the best Place which is on the banks of the dead sea i.e. Marriott – Dead sea, a perfect place to experience the dead sea. I just couldn’t believe that you could float in this water irrespective if you know or don’t know to swim. But one thing you should remember that if you ever think of buying the dead sea products, Amman is the place and not the Dead Sea because the finished products are available only in Amman…. Do not miss out on buying the Dead Sea minerals. Each product has its own Medicinal value. But I just couldn’t believe two things at the Dead Sea, One was the drastic change in weather and the other was seeing another country ( Israel ) on the opposite side of the Dead Sea. You may need a Jacket in Amman because of the chilly weather but it’s the opposite in Dead sea you can survive in Tees and Shorts, Don’t you think I was right when I begun ? Jordan a land of many Facets. Morning was a holistic experience being at the Mt. Nebo but evening was ummmmmmmm….. Watching Belly Dancers perform at the Hotel. The Fourth day was another Biblical experience visiting the ‘Bethany- by Jordan’ this is the place where Jesus Christ was baptized by ‘ John the Baptist’ something every Christian would visit. The distance to Israel from the banks is just a 02 minutes walk, but you need to have a valid visa to be there. En route to Petra I visited the ‘ Wadi Rum’ The desert of the east provides ample opportunities for exploration, by 4WD or camel. This is the old stamping ground of Lawrence of Arabia, and at Wadi Rum you can see where the English soldier led his band of tribesmen in the Arab Revolt. While I reached there in the afternoon it was different experience the weather was different it was much colder than the Dead Sea. But I was wondering what I will do in 4WD when there are no Sand dunes it would be an absolute waste of time…. But I got it wrong the experience was not about the 4WD it was all about the Sunset in the Desert, An awe-inspiring site the change in colors of the Rocky Mountains in the dessert, This was something I had never seen in my life…. Hence I have kept repeating Jordan a land of many Facets. Later in the evening I visited the ‘Captains Dessert Camp’ in Wadi rum it is a wonderful experience to stay here but I didn’t get the opportunity except to have a traditional coffee and move on to Petra. I was dead tired before while I reached Petra. The Next morning it was decided to visit ‘Petra ‘One of the world's most remarkable ancient settlements, the city of Petra sits in the steep sided canyon of the Wadi Musa. Known as the rose-red city, Petra has been hewn out of solid sandstone, its buildings carefully excavated caves, painstakingly carved by its founders over 2,000 years ago. But one thing you need to be sure while you travel to Petra you definitely to have a good pair of Shoes because from the gates to the main site is an hour walk one way and you cannot escape that if you need to see this lovely monument. I learnt a most important phrase while I was in Petra ‘Do not ask a Bedouin his Knife , his wife and his life ‘ he will never give it to you. The same evening I drove to Aqaba which is at the southernmost tip of the country, known for its duty free zone and the Biblical Red sea. The first thing I did in Aqaba was visited the local market for some shopping and the best things to buy is the Spices and the Dry fruits, do not get cheated by buying the Fake Chinese products, they are not worth the money . You may see a variety of Shops selling artificial jewellery, Do not buy this if you are an Indian since this all imported from India and sold in Aqaba. The other best thing to buy is Liquor only if you need it, it’s much cheaper than the ‘ Amman duty free’ but mind you there is a certain quantity you can carry , there is a duty check at the exit of Aqaba town. The next morning I visited Red Sea, the country's only seaside city. Enjoying balmy coastal temperatures year round it is the holiday destination of choice for domestic as well as international tourists. The city itself is full of attractions, including some fabulous historic and prehistoric relics. Today after a 05 hours drive I reached the Capital for an overnight stay . Today morning was a mixture of emotions , absolutely sad because I was leaving the Land of many Facets – Jordan……. Ma’assalama (Good bye in Arabic)
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Food - Indian Vegetarian is a little difficult but can be found in Amman, the Best restaurant for Indian food is " Kashmir" in Amman. Shopping - Dead Sea Products should be Purchased in Amman instead of the Dead sea. Night Life- There are no much Clubs and Discos but yes you may find a few in Aqaba and Amman.
My advice to fellow travellers
Important Note: - Please do not discuss on Border disputes between Israel and Palestine it doesn't go well with the Jordanians.
Yes I would recommend this destination to fellow travellers

My views/experience about the destination
Goa is one destination that you want to keep coming back to. I had been to goa with my friends on college trip. We had a blast, from Candolim beaches, water sports to sight seeing, you just never seem to get enough of the sun, sand and beaches. Its the best place to get away from the hectic work schedule, just lying on the beach or partying around. Goa has something for every one, if you are with your loved ones, Goa will never disappoint you it is the best get away
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Well the sea food is awesome, as specially the tiger prawn fro rs 400 it was worth it, the fort agonda is amazing, you might get view of dolphins if you are lucky. if you are at a beach dont miss the water sports as specially the para-sailing is awesome. you can also shop for collectibles near the beach shops but dont forget to bargain but i think the best of goa is the night walk on the cold beach sand in moonlight
My advice to fellow travellers
My advice stay at one beach and enjoy nature if you travel too much you may miss the best part of it. It is the best get away from the daily urban lifestyle, the beaches and the forts are amazing. dont miss the water sport and dolphins. just relax and goa will enchant you.

My views/experience about the destination
Thailand is relatively a very common destination for tourists who want to travel international from India. Pattaya as such is an OK place but not be missed a visit to the Coral Island & the Alcazar Show. People say Bangkok is a shoppers paradise...not really as per me. Better stuffs are available in India these days, but do visit the Temple of the Reclining Buddha there.
My experience on food, shoping, sight seeing & things to do
Thai food will not be liked by all Indians, but certainly do try the same atleast once for the experience. Indian food is widely available with Indian restaurants available at every corner. Must do sightseeing in Pattaya - Coral Island, Underwater World & Alcazar Show. Do walk for experience on the Walking Street there. City tour in Bangkok can certainly be given a miss. Visit Indra Market & Pratunam for cheap shopping for clothes, bags, watches & shoes. Branded shopping can be done in MBK Mall, Siam Paragon and various other high end malls.
My advice to fellow travellers
Do bargain during shopping and also if you wish to take the local Tuk Tuk in Bangkok & Pattaya. If you have travelled to other destinations like Singapore etc, then you will certainly not like Thailand.
