Day 1 - Rome

Welcome to Italy the land of the Mystique! On arrival in Rome, you will be welcomed by our Cox & Kings representative and transferred to your hotel. Rome is more than a fascinating European capital city; it is a spectacular encyclopedia of living history. The whole experience of Rome is so powerful as to be almost overwhelming at times.

The rest of the evening is at leisure so why not discover the grandeur of the historical attractions of Rome at night on an optional Illuminated Rome Tour.

Day 2 - Rome

Today, explore Rome at your own pace on an extensive hop-on hop-off itinerary through the heart of Rome. The buses are open top which allows you to enjoy full 360 degree panoramic views as you travel along your route, with a commentary in 6 languages, and departures every 15 minutes. Your ticket allows you 17 stops in the most beautiful, cultural and evocative areas of the Eternal city. See major sights such as the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Vatican City, Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Palatine Hill, Piazza Venezia and lots more.

Day 3 - Florence

This morning, transfer from your hotel to train station in Rome train.

Travel by train to Florence, the birthplace of Renaissance.

Florence, also known as the city of the lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzi dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself. On arrival, proceed to your hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure.You can select an optional excursion to visit Pisa - No trip to Florence is complete without it!

Day 4 - Venice

This morning, transfer from to train station in Florence.

Travel to the magical city of Venice by train.

On arrival at Venice, proceed to your hotel. Venice is just as romantic and beautiful as it looks in travelogues and movies. The piazzas and singing gondoliers, the idiosyncratic buildings and water taxis are all there to be seen, admired and photographed for posterity.

Open bus Tour of Florence (Seat in Coach).

There is no better way to see Florence than on this hop-on and hop-off double-decker bus. Stops along the tour route include the Cathedral, Santa Croce, San Marco, Piazzale Michelangelo and much, much more! Hop-on and off as many times as you like for a full day of sightseeing! With a multi-lingual commentary and a 48 hour ticket you are free to explore this city at your own pace.

The rest of the day is at leisure. You can choose an optional guided walking tour of Venice, or explore the city (on your own). This evening enjoy touring the canals of Venice, an ultimate romantic experience on the Gondola Serenade.

Day 5 - Venice

Excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello (Seat in Coach).

This morning enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Day 6 - Lake Como

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by train from Venice to Lake Como. Truly beautiful! This jewel in the crown of Italy's famous lakes is a haven of tranquility, superb cuisine, majestic snow capped mountains, courteous folk and style. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

On arrival in Como, proceed to the hotel. The old town is still to this day protected by high walls, but is populated by small and interesting local and designer shops. Strolling through these streets is part of the local culture. Grab a latte at one of the many street cafes and watch the elegant procession of young and old alike in all their finery.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the old town.

Day 7 - Lake Como

Today, explore Lake Como at your leisure, relax in the cafe's, people watch, drink pure Italian coffee, absorb the history and elegance, you will be amazed by the spectacular scenery.

Day 8 - Milan

Today, check-out from your hotel and proceed to the train station.

Travel from Lake Como to Milan by train.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel in Milan on your own.

Hop on Hop tour of Milan (Seat in Coach).

Later in the afternoon explore Milan at your own on Hop On Hop Off Tour and see the most interesting sites of the city including the Duomo, Milan's most famous landmark.

Day 5 - Venice

Excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello (Seat in Coach).

This morning enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Day 6 - Lake Como

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by train from Venice to Lake Como. Truly beautiful! This jewel in the crown of Italy's famous lakes is a haven of tranquility, superb cuisine, majestic snow capped mountains, courteous folk and style. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

On arrival in Como, proceed to the hotel. The old town is still to this day protected by high walls, but is populated by small and interesting local and designer shops. Strolling through these streets is part of the local culture. Grab a latte at one of the many street cafes and watch the elegant procession of young and old alike in all their finery.

Day 7 - Lake Como

Today, explore Lake Como at your leisure, relax in the cafe's, people watch, drink pure Italian coffee, absorb the history and elegance, you will be amazed by the spectacular scenery.

Day 8 - Milan

Today, check-out from your hotel and proceed to the train station.

Travel from Lake Como to Milan by train.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel in Milan on your own.

Hop on Hop tour of Milan (Seat in Coach).

On arrival in Montreux, proceed to the hotel. The town of Montreux nestles in a sheltered Lake Geneva bay, surrounded by vineyards and against the breathtaking backdrop of snow-covered Alps. Along the lake promenade, piano and jazz bars, discos and Switzerland's oldest casino, mingle with hotels and restaurants.

Day 2 - Montreux

Full day visit to Glacier 3000 (On your own)

Today, escape to the high Alps for a breath of pure crisp air and eye-popping mountain vistas. Take a breathtaking cable-car ride to the top of Glacier 3000 and catch stunning views of 24 four-thousand-meter high alps. From the Pillon Pass, the cable car goes up to 3,000 metres in 15 minutes. At the top, you will forget everything. The view of the all-year-round snow and the impressive mountain chains is mind-blowing. Further down, the valleys of French-speaking Switzerland and the Bernese Oberland regions are fascinating. The Alpine Coaster, at the summit station, is the world's highest railway-sledge installation. The one-kilometre descent comprises 520° of looping, ten curves, six waves, three jumps and two bridges. To enjoy a unique experience, try this crazy descent and get your adrenalin pumping!

After breakfast this morning, transfer to the train station.

Day 1 - Montreux

Welcome to Switzerland - The Alpine Wonderland! On arrival in Geneva, proceed to the train station for your train to Montreux.
Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Geneva to Montreux.
On arrival in Montreux, proceed to the hotel. The town of Montreux nestles in a sheltered Lake Geneva bay, surrounded by vineyards and against the breathtaking backdrop of snow-covered Alps. Along the lake promenade, piano and jazz bars, discos and Switzerland's oldest casino, mingle with hotels and restaurants.

The rest of the day is at leisure. We suggest you to visit the stunning lakeside Castle of Chillon (on your own).

Day 2 - Montreux

Full day visit to Glacier 3000 (On your own)

Today, escape to the high Alps for a breath of pure crisp air and eye-popping mountain vistas. Take a breathtaking cable-car ride to the top of Glacier 3000 and catch stunning views of 24 four-thousand-meter high alps. From the Pillon Pass, the cable car goes up to 3,000 metres in 15 minutes. At the top, you will forget everything. The view of the all-year-round snow and the impressive mountain chains is mind-blowing. Further down, the valleys of French-speaking Switzerland and the Bernese Oberland regions are fascinating. The Alpine Coaster, at the summit station, is the world's highest railway-sledge installation. The one-kilometre descent comprises 520° of looping, ten curves, six waves, three jumps and two bridges. To enjoy a unique experience, try this crazy descent and get your adrenalin pumping!

Day 3 - Zermatt

After breakfast this morning, transfer to the train station.
Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Montreux to Zermatt station.
On arrival in Zermatt, proceed to the hotel. Zermatt, lies at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. The air in Zermatt is clear, dry and clean, because, since 1947, only electric cars without a combustion engine are allowed to operate in the village. Explore Zermatt - A world of its own!

Day 4 - Zermatt

Full day excursion to Matterhorn Mountain OR Gornegrat Mountain (On your own).

Day 5 - Interlaken

This morning, transfer to the train station for your train to Interlaken.
Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Zermatt to Interlaken.
On arrival in Interlaken, proceed to thehotel. Interlaken is located, in the heart of the Swiss alps, situated between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz and is at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau.

Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing in this most spectacular of settings, or opt for adventure trio package.

 

Day 6 - Interlaken

Full day excursion to Schilthorn (On your own).

This morning, travel from Interlaken to Murren, from where you will get to the 2970 metre Schilthorn/Piz Gloria mountain top by cable car in 32 minutes. As the longest aerial cableway in the Alps, the Schilthorn provides the most unimpeded panoramic views. Over 200 mountain peaks in a spectacular landscape are revealed as the world's first revolving mountain top restaurant slowly turns. For James Bond fans, the Schilthorn was transformed into the "Piz Gloria" for the filming of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Follow the tracks of James Bond in the Touristorama where you can view glimpses of the 007 movie.

Day 7 - Lucerne

This morning, transfer to the train station.
Travel by Golden Pass Panoramic train to Lucerne. The Golden Pass Line is one of the most picturesque train rides in Switzerland. You will pass through a setting of alpine forests, bubbling mountain streams and picturesque mountain villages.
Upon arrival in Lucerne proceed to your hotel. Day 1 - Paris

Welcome to Paris - The City of Light! On arrival in Paris, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings representative and transferred to your hotel. Paris, the ultra-cosmopolitan French capital city, has a longstanding global reputation as a Mecca of art, culture, fashion, gastronomy, history and architecture. Called the City of Light, City of Love and Capital of Fashion, Paris is not only brimming with internationally famous attractions but is an energetic city where beauty and vivacity ever-weave its curvy streets.

This rest of the day is at leisure. Why not discover the city by night with one of our optional choices? An enchanting evening awaits you at the world famous Lido Show or Moulin Rouge which will mesmerize you with its glitz and glamour.

Day 2 - Paris

Enjoy Seinorama tour of Paris (Seat in Coach).

In the morning, discover the historical landmarks and admire the beautiful architecture of Paris on a Seinorama Tour. See the Place de la Concorde, Avenue Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Cruise on the beautiful River Seine and admire the architecture of the historical monuments and cafe lined boulevards. Enjoy a visit to the 2nd level of the imposing Eiffel Tower for a fabulous overview of the city.
(Note: During high season months entrance to Eiffel Tower will be replaced with Montparnasse Tower).

Welcome to Switzerland - The Alpine Wonderland! On arrival in Zurich, you will walk across to the Flughafen Airport train station (located adjacent to the airport) for your train to Zermatt.

Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Zurich to Zermatt.

On arrival in Zermatt, proceed to your hotel. Zermatt, lies at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. The air in Zermatt is clear, dry and clean, because, since 1947, only electric cars without a combustion engine are allowed to operate in the village. Enjoy Zermatt - A world of its own!

Day 2 - Zermatt

Day 3 - Interlaken

This morning, transfer to the train station for your train to Interlaken.

Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Zermatt to Interlaken.

On arrival in Interlaken, proceed to thehotel. Interlaken is located, in the heart of the Swiss alps, situated between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz and is at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau.

Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing in this most spectacular of settings, or opt for adventure trio package.

Day 4 - Interlaken

Excursion to Schilthorn (On your own).

This morning, travel from Interlaken to Murren, from where you will get to the 2970 metre Schilthorn/Piz Gloria mountain top by cable car in 32 minutes. As the longest aerial cableway in the Alps, the Schilthorn provides the most unimpeded panoramic views. Over 200 mountain peaks in a spectacular landscape are revealed as the world's first revolving mountain top restaurant slowly turns. For James Bond fans, the Schilthorn was transformed into the "Piz Gloria" for the filming of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Follow the tracks of James Bond in the Touristorama where you can view glimpses of the 007 movie.

Day 5 - Interlaken

The day is at leisure. Relax, explore the town, or take an optional Mountain excursion Jungfraujoch - The Top of Europe and Europe's highest train station.

 

Day 6 - Lucerne

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by Golden Pass Panoramic train to Lucerne. The Golden Pass Line is one of the most picturesque train rides in Switzerland. You will pass through a setting of alpine forests, bubbling mountain streams and picturesque mountain villages.

On arrival in Lucerne, proceed to the hotel. Enjoying perhaps one of the most scenic and picturesque settings in the whole of Switzerland, Lucerne, situated by the shores of Lake Lucerne, with the mountain peaks of Rigi and Pilatus clearly visible in the distance and offers nothing short of a breathtaking backdrop.

Enjoy a breathtaking journey by train to Engelberg, using your Swiss Rail Pass and visit Mount Titlis - a unique snow and glacier paradise. Board Rotair, the rotating cable car for panoramic views of alpine glaciers and ice boulders as you ascend 10,000 feet (3020 meters). You will truly experience the snow and ice on top of Mount Titlis, on the chairlift Ice Flyer. The view of the glacier crevasses is spectacular! Day 1 - Zermatt

Welcome to Switzerland - The Alpine Wonderland! On arrival in Zurich, you will walk across to the Flughafen Airport train station (located adjacent to the airport) for your train to Zermatt.

Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Zurich to Zermatt.

On arrival in Zermatt, proceed to your hotel. Zermatt, lies at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. The air in Zermatt is clear, dry and clean, because, since 1947, only electric cars without a combustion engine are allowed to operate in the village. Enjoy Zermatt - A world of its own!

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by Golden Pass Panoramic train to Lucerne. The Golden Pass Line is one of the most picturesque train rides in Switzerland. You will pass through a setting of alpine forests, bubbling mountain streams and picturesque mountain villages.

Welcome to Switzerland - The Alpine Wonderland! On arrival in Zurich, you will walk across to the Flughafen Airport train station (located adjacent to the airport) for your train to Lucerne.

Use your Swiss Travel pass to travel from Zurich to Lucerne.

On arrival in Lucerne, proceed to the hotel. Enjoying perhaps one of the most scenic and picturesque settings in the whole of Switzerland, Lucerne, situated by the shores of Lake Lucerne, with the mountain peaks of Rigi and Pilatus clearly visible in the distance and offers nothing short of a breathtaking backdrop.

The rest of your day is at leisure. Lucerne is bound to reveal the romantic and inspire the photographer in you, so don't forget your camera - the opportunities are endless!
To familiarize yourself with Swiss heritage and culture, we recommend that the best way to see Lucerne is by foot, going, along its lakeside quays, across its old squares, and through the streets of its Old Town, visiting the famous sights on your own or enjoy Indian Dinner Cruise on Lake Lucerne (operating on Mon and Thu only).

Day 2 - Lucerne

Excursion to Mt. Titlis (On your own).

Enjoy a breathtaking journey by train to Engelberg, using your Swiss Rail Pass and visit Mount Titlis - a unique snow and glacier paradise. Board Rotair, the rotating cable car for panoramic views of alpine glaciers and ice boulders as you ascend 10,000 feet (3020 meters). You will truly experience the snow and ice on top of Mount Titlis, on the chairlift Ice Flyer. The view of the glacier crevasses is spectacular! On arrival in Interlaken, proceed to your hotel Interlaken which is located, in the heart of the Swiss alps, situated between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz and is at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau.
