Day 1 - Hunter Valley

Depart Sydney and travel north over the Harbour Bridge and onto the Pacific Highway. Detour through the towns of Gosford and Newcastle. Newcastle is Australia's sixth largest city - enjoy a scenic walk along the foreshore. From Newcastle, travel via Maitland and into the Hunter Valley. With wineries in abundance, take the opportunity to taste and purchase some of Australia's finest wines. Explore the art and gourmet delights that the Hunter Valley offers.

Day 2 - Port Stephens

Leave the Hunter Valley and travel northeast to Port Stephens. Known as the Blue Water Wonderland, Port Stephens is a natural bay 2 1/2 times the size of Sydney Harbour and almost enclosed by two dormant volcanic headlands. There is fabulous seafood and over 26 golden sandy beaches to explore. Perhaps take an afternoon cruise to see the Bottlenose dolphins.

Day 3 - Coffs Harbour

Depart Port Stephens and continue north to Bulahdelah, the entrance to the Myall Lakes National Park. Travel north along the Lakes Way, a scenic route through rainforest with spectacular views of the inland lakes and ocean beaches. Travel on through the Manning Valley and Taree to Port Macquarie. Continue on to Coffs Harbour, which is the start of the sub-tropical northern coast of New South Wales and the surrounding district produces timber, bananas, vegetables, dairy products and fish. The 'Big Banana' is open daily with a comprehensive display on the banana industry.

Day 4 - Byron Bay

This northern stretch of New South Wales contains some of the most beautiful landscapes in Australia. From Coffs Harbour, the highway follows the coast to Woolgoolga and then turns inland towards Grafton, a graceful old country town on the banks of the mighty Clarence River. From Grafton travel to Woodburn and on to Ballina, and then a further 38 kilometres to Byron Bay, which attracts surfers from near and far to Wategos Beach, on Cape Byron - its northerly aspect makes it one of the best beaches for surfing on the East Coast of Australia. Cape Byron is the most easterly point on the Australian coast.

Day 5 - Byron Bay

Today is free to spend at your leisure. Enjoy the restaurants and cafes, take a surfing lesson or simply relax on the beach. For those who may have an extr

Day 6 - Byron Bay

For early risers, it's well worth taking a trip to the beach this morning to watch the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean. Depart Byron and travel north to Brunswick Heads. You can either continue along the coast via Pottsville Beach and Kingscliff and travel onto Brisbane via the Gold Coast, or travel inland past Murwillumbah. Continue on the Pacific Motorway for the short, direct route to Brisbane or travel via Burleigh Heads and Surfers Paradise. You can also discover the Gold Coast Hinterland, stopping at Lamington National Park, before arriving in Brisbane.

Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off at the city or airport, by the same time as it was picked up on Day 1, to avoid any additional charges.

Day 1 - Jervis Bay

Leaving Sydney you will drive south along the Coast line to the beautiful Jervis Bay. Travel south of Sydney through the Royal National Park and onto the Grand Pacific Drive with spectacular coastal scenery. Travel across the impressive Sea Cliff Bridge and through rainforests and quaint coastal villages to reach Wollongong. Take the turn-off for Huskisson and Jervis Bay.

Nearby Hyams Beach, is known to have the whitest sand in the world. Jervis Bay is well known for its resident dolphin population and a dolphin cruise is a must.

Day 2 - Batemans Bay

Today you will continue your voyage south to Batemans Bay. For the majority of the drive you'll have National Park views to your West, and stunning coast line views to your East. '

The Bay' is well located for driving, trekking or undemanding walks in the Clyde Valley and the spectacular surrounding mountainous national parks.

Day 3 - Gipsy Point

Following the Princes Highway you'll drive through many towns and beautiful forests on your way to the state border of New South Wales and Victoria. Pass through Tilba Tilba, and then drive along the amazing Sapphire Coast to the city of Merimbula where lagoons, lakes and ocean are separated by white sand, and fringed by unspoilt bushland stretching up into the mountains.

You will then continue through the middle of the Yambulla State Forest before crossing the border into Victoria and turning at Genoa to the beautiful Gipsy Point.

Day 4 - Lakes Entrance

Depart Gipsy Point and travel south via Cann River along the Princes Highway. Near Cabbage Tree Creek leave the highway and visit the Cape Conran Coastal Park and the village of Marlo. Rejoin the highway at Orbost, situated on the banks of the Snowy River. It is a short drive onto Lakes Entrance. Lakes Entrance is a unique area with rivers, lakes and lagoons joining 90 Mile Beach. Take a cruise or a sail around Australia's largest inland waterway. Explore the nearby village of Metung also located on the beautiful lakes.

Day 5 - Wilsons Promontory

Leaving Lakes Entrance you'll continue along the Princes Highway through the stunning Victorian bushland. South east of Sale is the Holey Plains State Park where you can see a variety of Australia's native flora and fauna before arriving into the Gippsland region.

Continue south via Yarram and Foster to reach the extraordinary Wilsons Promontory in the south east. It is riddled with masses of green forests and gardens, stunning mountains, rocky rivers, picturesque towns and, to a large degree, is defined by its long sandy beaches.

Day 6 - Phillip Island

The drive from Wilsons Promontory to Phillip Island boasts stunning views of Victoria's southern coast. The route is dotted with many small towns that have that quaint country feel to them. You'll come to gorgeous Bunurong Marine and Coastal Park at Cape Paterson where you can discover the fascinating world of the marine environment along some of Victoria's most beautiful coastline before arriving into Phillip Island, home to Australia's famous Little Penguins. The famous `Penguin Parade' occurs each evening at sunset and should not be missed.

Day 7 - Phillip Island

Leave Phillip Island today and take the short journey into the city of Melbourne. It's only a two hour drive to Melbourne this morning and your journey will take you across the eastern suburbs of the city.

Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off at the city or airport, by the same time as it was picked up on Day 1, to avoid any additional charges.

Day 1 - Christchurch

Kia Ora! Welcome to your 'New Zealand Splendors' tour! On arrival in Christchurch, you will be meet and greet by our local representative.

Day 2 - Franz Josef Glacier

Today, discover why New Zealand is considered as 'Heaven on Earth'!

Proceed towards Glacier Country region and marvel at the natural scenery. En route, enjoy the largest pass of New Zealand, the Arthurs Pass and visit the Jade Stone workshop in the country town of Hokitika. Proceed to the Franz Josef Glacier area via the Fox Glacier. On arrival, check in to the hotel in Glacier country region (check in after 1400 hrs). Enjoy the spectacular views of the glacier region and surrounding Alpine mountains.

Day 3 - Wanaka

You may opt to visit Puzzling World at Wanaka. Experience thrills while walking through pathways at the maze and find the way.

Day 4 - Queenstown

Discover the beauty of Queenstown, during the city tour, viewing Lake Hayes, in Wakatipu basin, renowned for its scenic beauty, AJ Hackett Bungy Bridge, Edith Cawell Bridge. Day 6 - Te Anau

This morning, proceed to Te Anau, a picturesque township and the main visitor base for the glacier-carved wilderness, the Fiordland National Park. On arrival, check in to the hotel (check in after 1400 hrs).

Visit the Te Anau Bird sanctuary and view rare amazing birds, native to New Zealand, such as Takahe, the rare flightless bird and the Kaka, a beautiful native forest parrot. See the Kereru (New Zealand pigeon), Tui and Kea, the alpine parrot. View the free flying birds in the Aviary.

Later, proceed on a guided tour of Te Anau Glow Worm caves.

Day 7 - Te Anau

Today, explore the scenic surroundings, as you travel to Fiordland to enjoy Milford Sound Cruise. Drive through scenic landscapes.

Situated within Fiordland National Park, part of Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site, lies New Zealand's most stunning natural attraction - Milford Sound. It is a fiord located to the south west of South Island in New Zealand. It lies within the Fiordland National Park and is also a part of Milford Sound Marine Reserve and Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site. It was named after the 'Milford Haven' in Wales, United Kingdom.
