Day 3 - Belfast

This morning, transfer from the hotel to the Dublin train station for your train journey to Belfast.

Highlights of the tour are the Wall Murals on Falls Road and Crumlin Road, the birthplace of the Titanic, Belfast City Hall: built in 1906, in classical Renaissance style, in Portland stone, the crowning feature of the City Hall is the main dome. Belfast's many parks, gardens and galleries offer a perfect haven to relax. The Botanic Gardens: the rose garden and herbaceous borders were established in 1920. Construction of the Palm House began in 1839, and the Tropical Ravine, or Fernery, completed in 1889, is a fine example of horticultural Victoriana.

Entrance ticket to the Titanic Visitor Centre for a unique Titanic Experience (On your own).

Visit the new Titanic Experience: Housed in an iconic, 6-floor building, this state-of-the-art visitor experience tells the story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and tragic end. The adventure begins the moment you walk through the door and into the building's giant atrium surrounded by the four 'ship's hull' shaped wings which house the Titanic Experience.

Day 4 - Belfast

Visit to the Giants Causeway and whiskey distillery at Bushmills (Seat in Coach).

As you leave Belfast, you have a short photo-stop at Carrickfergus Castle to give you a taste of what is on offer on the day ahead. Enjoy the first main stop of the day, where the brave can make the terrifying trip across the Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, and back again (March - October only when weather permitting). Then travel onwards to the main highlight of the tour - Giants Causeway, Irelands only world heritage site. You can spend some time climbing over the ancient stones, before making a retreat to one of the tempting cafes or restaurants at the Causeway for lunch. After you re-fuel at the Causeway, you will re-board the coach to move on to the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery at Bushmills. You will have time here to browse in the extensive gift shop, or make a visit to the Bar to have a swift taste or two of the famous tipple! For those who have any energy left after this activity packed day, there is a visit to the ruins of the ancient Dunluce Castle. You can then relax on the journey back to Belfast.

Today, transfer on your own to the Dublin train station for your train journey to Killarney.

Continue your journey to Killarney.

On arrival in Killarney, proceed on your own to the hotel.

Tour of Ring of Kerry (Seat in coach).

Enjoy a day of splendid scenery as you tour the Ring of Kerry which is said to contain some of the most magnificent scenery in Ireland. Pass through the small towns and villages of Killorglin, Cahiriciveen, Waterville, Sneem and finally Molls Gap in the heart of the black mountains.

Day 4 - Galway

This morning transfer on your own to the Killarney bus station for your onward journey by public bus.

Proceed to the picture-post card city of Galway, known for its festivals, music and bars.

On arrival at the bus station, transfer on your own to the hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this vibrant and fun loving city on your own.

 

Day 5 - Galway

Excursion to the Cliffs of Moher (Seat in Coach).

Today, you will leave Galway with a public tour and travel through the Burren to one of Ireland's most famous sights - Cliffs of Moher. You will travel through the Burren: a limestone plateau occupying an area of over one hundred square miles in North Clare. It is an area of scenic attractions where the clear light, reflected from the stone-grey hills, seems to radiate an air of timelessness, which is made more realistic by the presence of the many prehistoric remains that dot the fields and the valleys beneath. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills - a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Later, drive to one of Ireland's most magnificent sights, the Cliffs of Moher, standing 702 feet at their highest point and stretching for 8 kms along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Enjoy fantastic views from the O'Brien's Tower served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years. Later, travel back to Galway.

Today, you will leave Galway with a public tour and travel through the Burren to one of Ireland's most famous sights - Cliffs of Moher. You will travel through the Burren: a limestone plateau occupying an area of over one hundred square miles in North Clare. It is an area of scenic attractions where the clear light, reflected from the stone-grey hills, seems to radiate an air of timelessness, which is made more realistic by the presence of the many prehistoric remains that dot the fields and the valleys beneath. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills - a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Later, drive to one of Ireland's most magnificent sights, the Cliffs of Moher, standing 702 feet at their highest point and stretching for 8 kms along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Enjoy fantastic views from the O'Brien's Tower served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years. Later, travel back to Galway.

At 3 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions for an afternoon orientation drive through statue-lined O'Connell Street and elegant Georgian squares to St. Patrick\'s Cathedral and Trinity College. Day 2 - Belfast

On your northbound route today, pass Drogheda, scene of the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, then through the fertile landscape of the Boyne Valley, known for its prehistoric passage graves. Cross the border into Northern Ireland and drive past the Mountains of Mourne to Downpatrick, the burial place of Patrick, Ireland’s Patron Saint, and on to the vibrant city of Belfast, where the Titanic was built. Later, why not join a Local Guide on a “living history” tour, including a visit to the fascinating Titanic Experience? (B)

Day 3 - Sligo

First stop this morning is awe-inspiring GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, let the province’s story unfold as you head for the city of Derry before returning to the Republic to visit Donegal, the ancient town founded by Danish Vikings and home of the O’Donnell Clan. Drive along Donegal Bay with its small fishing ports and hidden beaches, and stop in Drumcliff to see the grave of W.B. Yeats before arriving in Sligo, tonight’s destination. (B,D)

Day 4 - Limerick

Travel farther south to Galway, a popular seaside destination and a buzzing cosmopolitan center with colorful shops, and a busy cafe and bar culture. Cross the limestone plateau of The Burren to visit the spectacular 668-foot CLIFFS OF MOHER. Tonight, you might like to join an optional medieval banquet. (B)

Day 5 - Killarney

Start your day with a stroll through Adare, a village known for its prize-winning thatched cottages. Then, take in the breathtaking scenery of the Dingle Peninsula, where the 32-mile Slea Head drive affords magnificent vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. See the Blasket Islands, and hear about the way of life and unique literary achievements of its inhabitants prior to their evacuation in 1953. The next two nights are spent in the popular resort of Killarney. (B,D)

Day 6 - Killarney

At Killorglin, join the RING OF KERRY for a 100-mile coastal panoramic drive featuring sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly colored farmhouses, winding lanes bordered with subtropical vegetation, and spectacular views of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View. Back in Killarney, a special optional adventure: take a horse-drawn jaunting car along the national park lakeshore for pictures of Ross Castle. Tonight, enjoy the optional outing to Tralee for dinner and a performance at Siamsa Tire, Ireland's National Folk Theatre. (B)

Day 7 - Tramore

More scenic splendor as you head over the Kerry Mountains into County Cork. Stop in Blarney, famous for its Stone of Eloquence, with time at your leisure to see the castle and shop for Irish crafts and handmade crystal. After lunch, drive past Cork, the country's second-largest city on the way to Waterford, where a guided tour of the HOUSE OF WATERFORD CRYSTAL is included. Spend the night at the nearby seaside resort of Tramore. Later, an optional pub tour might be fun. (B,D)

Day 8 - Dublin

On the last leg of your journey, visit Ireland's oldest HANDWEAVING MILL at Avoca, and enjoy views of the Wicklow Mountains on your way to Dublin. An optional Irish cabaret evening, including dinner, dance, song, and laughter would be an exciting finale to your vacation. (B)

Day 9 - Belfast

Visit to the Giants Causeway and whiskey distillery at Bushmills (Seat in Coach).

As you leave Belfast, you have a short photo-stop at Carrickfergus Castle to give you a taste of what is on offer on the day ahead. Enjoy the first main stop of the day, where the brave can make the terrifying trip across the Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, and back again (March - October only when weather permitting). Then travel onwards to the main highlight of the tour - Giants Causeway, Irelands only world heritage site. You can spend some time climbing over the ancient stones, before making a retreat to one of the tempting cafes or restaurants at the Causeway for lunch. After you re-fuel at the Causeway, you will re-board the coach to move on to the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery at Bushmills. You will have time here to browse in the extensive gift shop, or make a visit to the Bar to have a swift taste or two of the famous tipple! For those who have any energy left after this activity packed day, there is a visit to the ruins of the ancient Dunluce Castle. You can then relax on the journey back to Belfast.

Day 1 - Dublin

Welcome to Ireland, a land of magic and enchantment!
Upon arrival in Dublin, you will be transferred to your hotel.
The small city of Dublin, founded by Vikings, sits snugly on Ireland's East coast, nestled between mountains and sea. Dublin is defined by its literary legacy, boasting famous writers such as Samuel Beckett and James Joyce. Day 2 - Dublin

This morning, transfer on your own to the Killarney bus station for your onward journey by public bus.

Proceed to the picture-post card city of Galway, known for its festivals, music and bars.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this vibrant and fun loving city on your own.

Day 6 - Galway

Excursion to the Cliffs of Moher (Seat in Coach).

Today, you will leave Galway with a public tour and travel through the Burren to one of Ireland's most famous sights - Cliffs of Moher. You will travel through the Burren: a limestone plateau occupying an area of over one hundred square miles in North Clare. It is an area of scenic attractions where the clear light, reflected from the stone-grey hills, seems to radiate an air of timelessness, which is made more realistic by the presence of the many prehistoric remains that dot the fields and the valleys beneath. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills - a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Later, drive to one of Ireland's most magnificent sights, the Cliffs of Moher, standing 702 feet at their highest point and stretching for 8 kms along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Enjoy fantastic views from the O'Brien's Tower served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years. Later, travel back to Galway.

Day 9 - Belfast

Visit to the Giants Causeway and whiskey distillery at Bushmills (Seat in Coach).

As you leave Belfast, you have a short photo-stop at Carrickfergus Castle to give you a taste of what is on offer on the day ahead. Enjoy the first main stop of the day, where the brave can make the terrifying trip across the Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, and back again (March - October only when weather permitting). Then travel onwards to the main highlight of the tour - Giants Causeway, Irelands only world heritage site. You can spend some time climbing over the ancient stones, before making a retreat to one of the tempting cafes or restaurants at the Causeway for lunch. After you re-fuel at the Causeway, you will re-board the coach to move on to the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery at Bushmills. You will have time here to browse in the extensive gift shop, or make a visit to the Bar to have a swift taste or two of the famous tipple! For those who have any energy left after this activity packed day, there is a visit to the ruins of the ancient Dunluce Castle. You can then relax on the journey back to Belfast.
