Day 1 - Rome

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Evening transfer to the Trastevere district. Indian dinner included.

Welcome to Rome! Upon airport arrival, we shall be waiting to transport you to your hotel. Our guide will greet you at the hotel and will provide all the necessary information.

At the end of the evening we arrange a transfer to Trastevere area. This neighbourhood will be a great introduction to Rome, a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets of the Trastevere district reveals hidden treasures to us, such as some modest mediaeval churches, small shops with the most peculiar of objects or scenes of daily life. Indian dinner included. Return to hotel.

Day 2 - Rome

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Rome. Roman Coliseum (admission price included) and visit to the Vatican City. Indian dinner.

In the morning, we have a scenic tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to The Eternal city. We visit the tiny state of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter's Basilica. And we have also included admission to the Roman Coliseum, the principal symbol of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening, indian dinner included.

Day 3 - Florence

TODAY'S HIGLIGHTS: Tour with a local expert from Florence. View from Piazzale Michelangelo. Indian dinner.

We will leave Rome, heading north. This route is graced with beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in FLORENCE, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, an impressive site in the city. After lunch, we provide a tour with a local expert, and walk through the historic centre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Plaza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum. Free time to explore. In the evening, you will have an indian dinner included.

Day 4 - Venice

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Vaporetto boat on Venice's Grand Canal. Visit and admission to the Saint Mark's Basilica. Admire the technique of crafting Murano Glass. Dinner included.

Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. Arriving in VENICE, we will board a Vapporetto to travel around on the canals in the historic centre. With a local guide, we will visit the marvellous Saint Mark's Square and enter the marvellous basilica (entry cost included). Afterwards, we shall be able to visit the Murano glass factory city. It is marvellous to see the technique of crystal blowing. Free time.

At the end of the day, you will have the chance to have dinner in an indian restaurant (included)

Day 5 - Innsbruck

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: We visit the city of Romeo and Juliet. Beautiful countryside while crossing the Alps (lakes and snowy mountains). Dinner included.

We will depart from Venice, travelling to VERONA. We will provide a shuttle from parking to the historic centre. Our guide will instruct us on the places where you will be able to walk in Romeo and Juliet's city -the city of lovers!. Afterwards we continue the journey between beautiful lakes and mountains to Innsbruck. Before the arrival, we will discover the Swarovski Museum, the renowned home of crystals. We shall visit its impressive gardens and learn how the pieces of crystal are produced. Then, time to stroll in the historic centre of INNSBRUCK. Indian dinner included.

Day 6 - Feldkirch

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Alps, lakes, castle, exciting landscapes. Lunch included.

Today, we will enjoy a stage full of excitement. Arriving from the Austrian side, ZUGSPITZE is on the border between Austria and Germany. We will go to the summit of the highest mountain in Germany via the modern Zugspitze cableway (included). On fine days, we can see a panoramic of the snowy mountain peaks across 4 countries! Indian Lunch included. Then, we will travel to REUTTE, a unique experience to feel a remarkable floating sensation at the longest Tibet-style footbridge (entrance included) Afterwards we will go the path of Marienbrucke bridge over the gorge to see NEUSCHWANSTEIN, one of the most popular castles in Europe, the fairy-tale king castle. We will continue to FELDKIRCH.

Day 7 - Zurich

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Constanza Lake. Botanic Gardens. Rhein Waterfalls. Fantastic scenery. Dinner included.

We start our day by Constanza Lake, between Germany and Switzerland. We will have time for a walk at Constanz's center before visiting MAINAU Island (access by pedestrian bridge) with its stunning botanic garden (entry included). Then, again in Switzerland, we will take a stroll in STEIN AM RHEIN, a typical village on the Rhein River with precious houses with painted walls. We will also visit Rhein Waterfalls (entry included), the waterfalls with the most abundant flow in Europe. Arrival at ZURICH at the end of the day. Indian dinner included.

Day 8 - Zurich

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Admire the fantastic landscapes. Cable car included to Grindenwald first. Lunch included.

Today's stage has beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes. Breathtaking scenery. GRINDELWALD where we will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car (ticket included) up to Grindelwald first. We will walk along the path (30 minutes) in which we shall be able to take the footbridge over the empty among the fantastic scenery enjoying glaciers around us. Lunch included (vegetarian option available). After that we continue after a short stop in Interlaken to LUCERNE, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Time at the end of the day to stroll, enjoy the city and dine before returning to the hotel in Zurich.

Day 9 - Paris

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Explore Bern, the capital city of Switzerland. Dinner included.

Embark on a scenic journey to BERN, capital city of the confederation built around a bend in the Aare River, with its medieval architecture preserved in the Old Town. Time to take a stroll and breathe in the fresh air. Next, we journey to France. Enjoy beautiful lake views on our trip to Paris. We arrive in the evening. Indian dinner included.

Day 10 - Paris

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Paris. Boat ride along the Seine. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Evening transfer. Indian Dinner included.

A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.

Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or Monday).

At sunset enjoy indian dinner in the city of lights. Return to hotel.

Day 11 - Paris

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Free time in the City of Lights. Indian dinner included.

We go to the centre of Paris, to the area of the Louvre Museum. Free time. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris. It will be offered for travelers who are interested, an optional excursion to enjoy in EURODISNEY. Rest of the day free. Indian dinner included.

Day 2 - Rome

Steeped in history, the 'Eternal City' is vibrantly alive and exciting, and absolutely unique! Start your guided introduction to Rome from St. Peter's Square, the heart of the Vatican, and see other highlights such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Maybe take an optional tour of the Vatican Museum to discover some unique art masterpieces. (B)

Day 3 - Rome,Florence

Vistas of rolling hills, cypress trees, terraced vineyards, olive groves, and charming villages form the backdrop as you journey into the heart of Tuscany. Stop in Pisa to visit the SQUARE OF MIRACLES and see the legendary Leaning Tower. Then, head east to magnificent Florence, 'Cradle of the Renaissance' (B)

Day 4 - Florence

Today is devoted to the wonders of Florence, starting with a guided walking tour featuring some of the city's greatest attractions. See Piazza Santa Croce; world-famous Signoria Square; 13th-century Palazzo Vecchio with its collection of artistic masterpieces and incredible courtyards; Loggia dei Lanzi; the fantastic Duomo with Giotto\'s gothic Bell Tower; and the Baptistry's ornate bronze door known as the 'Gate of Paradise'. Day 5 - Florence,Venice

Travel north and cross the Po River to fabled Verona, setting for Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. See Julie's balcony - and be sure to rub the shining breast on her statue for good luck! Also, marvel at the ancient Roman Amphitheater, where gladiators used to fight. Built in the 1st century AD, it is now a popular venue for the world-famous opera festival and other well-known artists' performances. Continue to the Venice area for two overnights. (B)

Day 6 - Venice

One of the most unique cities on Earth, Venice is a place of unmatched beauty and a feast of fantastic sites. View the delightful criss-crossing canals, the gondolas, arched bridges, palaces, and piazzas. Your included orientation features a BOAT RIDE to St. Mark's Square and a visit to a Venetian GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP. Later, explore at leisure on your own, join one of our optional excursions, or just relax, sipping a cappuccino or typical Venetian drink called spritz at one of the many bars or cafes. (B,D)

Day 4 - Kriens

En route north, catch a glimpse of stunning Lake Como as we make our way into the massive Swiss Alps and head to the jaw-droppingly beautiful Alpine town of Lucerne. With covered wooden bridges, cobbled lanes and quaint buildings, Lucerne's centre is perfect to explore on foot. Also to stock up on lots of genuine Swiss chocolate! Your Trip Manager can give you pointers on where to pick up the best-priced watches that Switzerland is so famous for. After the stop in Lucerne we\'ll make our way to Lauterbrunnen- our stop for the next two nights.

Day 5 - Kriens

It's change of pace amongst Switzerland's massive Alps. Take in the amazing views from your chalet window. Opt to visit Jungfrau Mountain, head up the sheer slopes of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site on a cog rail to Europe's highest railway station, and step out onto the roof of Europe for spine-tingling views. Back at the chalet, make the most of the genuine underground Bomb Shelter and party it up with friends at the bar there.

Day 6 - Paris

With down-time on the coach, plug in your MP3, chill out to some music and chat with friends while travelling through the scenic wine producing region of Burgundy. Tonight, the group kick starts Paris with the Paris by Night, which shows off the French capital's transformation into the 'City of Lights'. Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafes give us a real taste of Paris romance. Your Trip Manager will fill you in on the worlds most recognised monuments, like the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower.

Day 7 - Paris

Next up: Fragonard! This perfumery has an elegant interior and is a unique setting for a look into the history of perfume. It's also a chance to pick up some French perfume at great prices. Day 3 - Sorrento

This morning, it's a boat ride to the main marina of the island of Capri, famous for its stunning caves and surrounding rock formations. Get out on the water of the Bay of Naples in an optional cruise around Capri in our very own traditional wooden motorboat. See the world-famous Green and White Grottos and choose to get up closer to the world-famous Blue Grotto, with its intense blue glow, on a separate boat ride into the cave. With plenty of swim stops on the cruise around the island, cool off in the Mediterranean and then use your free time to explore even more of the island.

Soak up the views and head off with some friends into the cute, white-washed villages where you can try out the region's sweet lemon liqueur, limoncello. If you have time, explore Sorrento's web of narrow streets or the Villa Communale Park, which has stunning views of Mt. Vesuvius.

Day 4 - Florence

Wind through the Apennine Mountains and Tuscan countryside to the Renaissance city of Florence. Before arriving in Florence, we'll stop off for a wine tasting in the rustic hills of the gorgeous Tuscan countryside, known for its iconic cypress trees and olive oil. In an historic villa, the group will see a working winery, complete with its old cellar and vats. Here you can learn more about the region's wines as you taste a glass or two of the local wine.

Then, it's on to breathtaking Florence. The scene-stealing Duomo Cathedral rises above the city's centre, which serves up frescoes, markets and priceless art. After dinner, walk along the River Arno with your Trip Manager, take in the atmosphere and head into the heart of Florence, where you can sit back and relax Tuscan style with a glass of Chianti wine.

Day 7 - Venice

Known as the floating city, Venice is packed with character, crammed with hidden lanes and linked by a network of canals. The group travels on our private boat through the waters of the lagoon to visit the city's historical heart. The limestone Bridge of Sighs, the Gothic arches of the Doges Palace and the expanse of St. Marks Square (pigeons and all!) show off Venices unique beauty and way of life. Take some time to explore the floating city and lose yourself in the backstreets. There's an optional walking tour where you can discover the labyrinth of interweaving lanes, waterways, palaces, piazzi and markets with our Local Guide.

You'll see historic monuments, hidden treasures and the Rialto market a local favourite for food shopping. Maybe grab a table on St. Mark's Square and eat some delicious Italian food al fresco. Cap off the day with an optional gondola ride & share this amazing experience with your friends seeing Venice from on the water is unforgettable!

Day 8 - Milan

Along the pretty shores of Lake Garda, we drop into the quintessential European lake town of Sirmione, complete with vine-covered villas, Roman ruins and a castle. For amazing views of the surrounding Dolomite Mountain range and an interesting lakeside look at the local lifestyle, we've organised a chance to go out on Italy's largest lake in an optional cruise. Later, the energy levels turn up a notch as we head to Italy's fashion capital and economic powerhouse, Milan.

Your Trip Manager will show off Milan's monuments and talk to you about the massive Duomo Cathedral, the elegant shopping arcade of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the world-famous La Scala Opera House, where many singing greats have graced the stage. With a free afternoon, hit the streets of this cool capital and you'll be rewarded with designer stores and funky little boutiques. Your Trip Manager, who knows Milan's ins and outs, will be happy to point you in the right direction for the best buys before you flash the plastic.

Day 9 - La Spezia

Heading south, we hit the national park and UNESCO World Heritage site of the Cinque Terre, where colourful coastal villages dot 18 kilometres of ragged cliffs and old walled vineyards tumble down the hillside almost to the wate's edge. It's a great journey by train along the coast, giving you the chance to take in the unique atmosphere.

Watch the locals fishing along the shore, rub shoulders with the rich in famous in Portovenere and check out picture-postcard town of Monterosso. Later chill out and get a slice of the good life, grab a table at a beachfront cafe and try some mouthwatering pesto with locally baked foccacia bread.

Day 10 - Rome

This morning, there's free time in Pisa and some fun photo-ops of its most famous monument, the Leaning Tower. Later, we head back to the 'Eternal City' of Rome. This city oozes energy and overflows with relics from another age which you'll encounter at almost every corner. Our special access coach tour gets you right into the thriving atmosphere of this living timeline as your Trip Manager shows you the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Continue on foot to check out the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Honour tradition at the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin in the fountain's waters (it's meant to improve your chances of returning to Rome!) or maybe hang out with your new friends at the Spanish Steps, sit back with a few slices of pizza and people watch.

Day 11 - Rome

This morning, check-out the smallest country in the world and home to the Pope, the Vatican City. There's included entry and our Local Guide to show you St. Peter's Basilica and Michelangelo's masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel. Make the most of our Local Guide's inside knowledge and uncover the remains of an ancient empire with a fantastic optional tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Take off into the city and absorb the atmosphere, as Vespas flash past timeworn monuments that are surrounded by fountains, pizzerias, cafe's and bars. In your free time, live the local lifestyle by indulging in a long lunch on a paved piazza or knock back a shot of espresso at the bar, like the Romans do. Before you hit the shops, let your Trip Manager point you in the right direction with some tips on the best buys.

Make your last night on tour special by hooking up with your friends for an optional dinner. In a typical Roman restaurant, you'll enjoy an authentic Italian experience, complete with an opera singer, live music and pasta. Day 1 - Amsterdam

Meet up with your Contiki team before we hit the road and take a ferry past the White Cliffs of Dover. Next stop: the buzzing, free-wheeling city of Amsterdam. Check out Amsterdam's eye-opening Red Light District, where the creative and wacky come together on narrow cobbled streets, 24/7. With an optional evening canal cruise, you've got a chance to get to know the group, unwind with a few drinks and uncover Amsterdam at water level. Get some pointers on the city's hot spots from your Trip Manager and head into town for a fun night out.

Day 2 - St Goar

Experience Amsterdam's coffee shops, museums and cool, quirky boutiques. In your free time, wander along shady canals and pass gabled houses or hop on two wheels like the laid-back locals and bike through the centre of town. Chill out while the coach follows the Rhine River, weaving through valleys dotted with castles and vineyards. Next stop - the pretty, old-world village of St. Goar, complete with fairy tale castle and the world's largest free-hanging cuckoo clock! Kick back with a glass of local wine and choose to find out more with the optional wine tasting in a candlelit underground cellar.

Day 3 - Munich

Travelling south, pull into the home of the world-famous Oktoberfest, Munich - a city that blends traditional Bavarian culture with modern lifestyle. Explore the heart of Munich's old town with the crew, and head to Marienplatz. It's a central gathering spot famous for the Glockenspiel a Gothic clock, complete with 32 dancing figures and 43 chiming bells. Get off the beaten track and onto Munich's side streets with our Local Guide on a fun biking tour around the city it's a great way to see the sights. Then, get a taste of tradition at a typical beer hall. Park yourself at a long wooden table, order yourself some hearty local food, like roasted pork knuckle, and quench your thirst with a stein of one of Germany's 5000 brews.

Day 4 - Innsbruck

Roll on through the Tyrol's massive mountains to a cute Austrian village in a region famous for adventure sports. Plunge into some whitewater rafting in an adrenalin-pumping optional activity on the river. Afterward, there's a chance to visit the Swarovski Crystal World Museum and pick up some of their world-famous crystal. Wrap up the day with a bit of time to do your own thing - laze about or get out for a walk in the surrounding hills.

Day 5 - Venice

This morning, roll on to Venice. Take some time to practice your Italian phrases on the coach as we travel through the Brenner Pass. Known as the floating city, Venice is packed with character, crammed with hidden lanes and linked by a network of canals. Jump on our private boat and travel through the waters of the lagoon to visit the city's historical heart. The limestone Bridge of Sighs, the gothic arches of Doge's Palace and the expanse of St. Mark's Square (pigeons and all!) show Venice's unique beauty and way of life. Take some time to explore the floating city and lose yourself in the backstreets. There's an optional walking tour where you can discover the labyrinth of interweaving lanes, waterways, palaces, piazzi and markets with our Local Guide. You'll see historic monuments, hidden treasures and the Rialto market - a local favourite for food shopping. Maybe grab a table on St. Mark's Square and eat some delicious Italian food al fresco. Day 6 - Rome

Criss-cross the Apennine Mountains on the road to Rome. Stylish Rome oozes energy and overflows with relics from another age. Our special access coach tour gets you right into the thriving atmosphere of this living timeline as your Trip Manager shows you the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Continue on foot to check out the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Honour tradition at the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin in the fountain's waters (it's meant to improve your chances of returning to Rome!) or maybe hang out with your new friends at the Spanish Steps, sit back and people watch.

Day 7 - Rome

This morning, make the most of our Local Guide's inside knowledge with an optional guided tour of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Take off into the city and absorb the atmosphere, as Vespas flash past timeworn monuments that are surrounded by fountains, pizzerias, cafes and bars. Before you hit the shops, let your Trip Manager point you in the right direction with some tips on the best buys. In your free time, live the local lifestyle by indulging in a long lunch on a paved piazza or knock back a shot of espresso at the bar, like the Romans do.

Day 8 - Florence

Next up: Umbria's rustic hills and many vineyards. Travel past the iconic cypress trees of this olive oil producing region, to the Renaissance city of Florence. The scene-stealing Duomo Cathedral rises above the city. Get the inside track on Florence's cultural beginnings from our Local Guide as the group explores streets crammed with artworks from masters like Michelangelo. Then, take a look into a skilful demonstration of Florentine leather making and understand this region's traditional art. The city's markets are a great place to hang out and bargain. Grab a gelato in your free time and enjoy the feel of this gorgeous city. Tonight there's a choice of a group dinner an authentic Italian feast in the Tuscan hillsides, where you'll get to indulge in regional dishes & sip on local Chianti wine. Afterwards, take it up a notch & opt to head with the group to one of Florence's top clubs where you can show off your moves on the dance floor.

Day 9 - Lucerne

Catch a glimpse of stunning Lake Como as we make our way into the massive Swiss Alps. With covered wooden bridges, cobbled lanes and quaint buildings, Lucerne's centre is perfect to explore on foot. Also to stock up on lots of genuine Swiss chocolate! Your Trip Manager can give you pointers on where to pick up the best-priced watches that Switzerland is so famous for. This afternoon, choose an optional cruise on one of Europe's most striking lakes, where stunning scenes of the Swiss Alps reflect back across the water.

Day 10 - Paris

With down-time on the coach, plug in your MP3, chill out to some music and chat with friends while travelling through the scenic wine producing region of Burgundy. Tonight, the group kick-starts Paris with the 'Tour of Illuminations', which shows off the French capital's transformation into the City of Lights. Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafe's give us a real taste of Paris romance. Your Trip Manager will fill you in on the world's most-recognised monuments, like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Then get a stunning view of the entire city with included entry to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Oui, oui, Paris!

Day 11 - Paris

Next up- Fragonard! This perfumery has an elegant interior and is a unique setting for a look into the history of perfume. It's also a chance to pick up some French perfume at great prices. This town is loaded with possibilities. Discover its many bistros, museums, tree-lined avenues and diverse quartiers (neighbourhoods). Get a feel for French flair by window shopping on the Left Bank. Step into the Notre Dame or explore the endless galleries of the Louvre, where you can get up close to the famous Mona Lisa. In your free time, try indulging in some delicious pastries and relax in one of Paris many city parks. Treat yourself to the full Parisian experience with a cabaret show, complete with can-can girls, dinner and Champagne. But don't stop there afterwards hit the clubs and finish up your time here with a big Parisian night out.
