On arrival at the airport in Srinagar, you will be met and transferred to the houseboat.

When we think of Kashmir, the first thing that comes to our mind is "Houseboats". Staying on a Houseboat means like living in paradise, an experience one is not likely to find anywhere else on the surface of the earth.

The ancient township of Awantipura founded by King Awantiwarman (855-883 AD) is renowned for the impressive ruins of the two temple complexes he built here in the 9th century namely Awantisvamin, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and Avantisvara, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Both the temples reflect Greek style of architecture.

Day 3 - Pahalgam

Today, post breakfast; embark on an excursion to Chandanwari, situated at a distance of 16 km from Pahalgam.

Chandanwari is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place every year in the months of Sawan (Rain), from July to August. Lying at an elevation of about 9,590 ft. above sea level, its snow covered mountains and breath-taking scenic beauty attracts numerous visitors. Famous for its snow bridge, which besides providing picturesque views, is also the perfect place for snow sledging. The area, besides serving as an important pilgrimage site of the Hindus, is also an idyllic picnic spot and provides ample opportunities for activities such as trekking, hiking, pony and palanquin ride.

Note: This excursion is subject to road, weather conditions and military permission.

The rest of the day is at leisure for individual activities. Overnight in Pahalgam.

Day 4 - Pahalgam,Gulmarg

On arrival, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this beautiful town.

Today, post breakfast, drive to Srinagar. On arrival, check in to the hotel.

In the afternoon, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Srinagar visiting places like the Shankaracharya Temple, Chashme Shahi Garden, Shalimar Garden and Nishat Garden.

Shankaracharya Temple situated at a height of about 1,100 ft. on a hilltop on the southeast of the city, offers splendid views of the valley and the snow-capped mountains of the Pir Panjal range. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is believed that this Hindu temple was built in 371 BC, making it one of the oldest in the valley of Kashmir.

Chashme Shahi Garden - an ancient garden established in 1632 by Emperor Shah Jahan, is considered to be one of the smallest Mughal gardens in Srinagar. Divided into three different sections with an aqueduct, waterfalls and fountains, it provides magnificent views of the Himalayas and the Dal Lake.

Shalimar Garden (also known as garden of love) - situated 15 km from Srinagar, is one of the most popular Mughal gardens in the city. It has four terraces, rising one above the other, fitted with fountains and chinar (sycamore) trees.

Nishat Garden - it is situated on the banks of the picturesque Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains forming its backdrop. Also known as the garden of bliss, it was laid out in 1633 by Asaf Khan, the elder brother of Nur Jahan. Designed in Persian style, this is a 12-terrace garden interspersed with fountains, colourful flowerbeds and lush green lawns.

The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities. Overnight in Srinagar.
