Day 1 - Lisbon

Check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free to start exploring Lisbon, the 'City of Explorers'. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Day 2 - Lisbon

Situated on the Iberian Peninsula along the Tagus River and close to the Atlantic Ocean shores, Lisbon is continental Europe's westernmost capital, and one of the oldest cities in the world. During your guided sightseeing, discover the elegant Praca do Comercio (Commerce Square), an elegant meeting point for locals and tourists. Also, see iconic Belem Tower, the ceremonial gateway to Lisbon; Jeronimos Monastery with the tomb of explorer Vasco da Gama; and Henry the Navigator's Monument to the Discoveries. The rest of the day is at leisure-maybe wander through the historic Alfama quarter or visit one of the many intriguing museums. (B)

Day 3 - Lisbon

Today is free to explore at your own pace. Consider joining the optional excursion to Evora with its well - preserved Old Town and captivating historic monuments, including a Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Diana and the grand 13th-century cathedral. (B)

Day 4 - Coimbra

Travel north to picturesque Obidos. Walk along its cobblestone streets and marvel at its wall, castle, and other excellent examples of medieval architecture. Next is Conimbriga, home to one of the largest ancient Roman settlements in the country. Visit the EXCAVATION SITE and see vestiges of the thermal baths, aqueducts, civic buildings, homes, amphitheater, mosaic floors, and more. Later, arrive in Coimbra, where a walking tour with a Local Guide introduces you to the 13th - century university, Portugal's oldest university, followed by a visit to its historical LIBRARY, built to showcase the wealth of the colonial empire and the power of the monarchy. Day 5 - Porto

This morning, drive to history-steeped Oporto on the banks of the Douro River. Here, your Local Guide will introduce you to the city renowned for its Port wine and celebrated wine cellars along the riverbank. Later, walk around the Old Town and maybe enjoy a drink in one of the lively bars! (B)

Day 6 - Porto

Relax and enjoy a morning at leisure. This afternoon, how about an optional excursion to Guimares, "Birthplace of Portugal", with its mesmerizing medieval center (B).

Day 2 - Madrid,Coimbra

Visit fortified Avila with its intact medieval city walls, then on to Salamanca. Make sure you spend some time wandering around Salamanca's Plaza Mayor, considered the most beautiful square in Spain. Journey into the valley of the Serra da Estrela on your way to Coimbra in Portugal. (B,D)

Day 3 - Coimbra,Lisbon

Enjoy an orientation tour of Coimbra, strategically situated on a hill overlooking the Mondego River. Continue to Fatima to see the SANCTUARY, a famous pilgrimage site where the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children-Francisco, Jacinth, and Lucia-on May 13, 1917. On to Obidos, a fortified city still flanked by towers and bastions overlooking the countryside dotted with windmills. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

Day 4 - Lisbon

Henry the Navigator made Lisbon the 15th-century "Mistress of the Seas". You'll see his monument, the Belem Tower, the Moorish Citadel, the impressive Black Horse Square, and other highlights on the guided city tour. Spend the afternoon at leisure in the Alfama's tile-decorated streets, or discover the Estoril Coast to Cascais and Sintra by joining our optional excursion. (B)

Day 5 - Lisbon,Seville

Drive into the Alentejo through the countryside, famous for its production of cork. Cross the border at Vila Verde into Spain and journey into Andalusia, enjoying quite different scenery as you skirt the Sierra de Aracena before reaching delightful Seville. (B,D)

Day 6 - Seville

Seville is one of Spain's most colorful and vibrant cities. Enjoy an included sightseeing tour with all the main highlights, including the iconic Plaza de Espana. (B)

Day 7 - Seville,Madrid

Travel to Cordoba, Spain's most Moorish city with its Great Mosque, which is rightly known as one of Isla's greatest pieces of architecture outside the Arab world. On through the very heart of La Mancha, famed for its castles and windmills, to Madrid. This evening, why not join the optional "Madrid by Night" excursion with dinner? (B)

Day 8 - Madrid

Enjoy free time in Madrid, or join the rewarding optional trip to Toledo. The splendid setting of this old walled city above the Tagus was made famous in El Grecos painting-even now, it's like a great open-air museum of Spanish history and art. Later, join the included Madrid city sightseeing. Not only because it's the capital of Spain but also because it is situated 2,180 feet above sea level, the Spaniards say it's the nearest thing to Heaven. (B)

Day 1 - Madrid

Day 2 - Granada

Drive south to Toledo. Spectacularly situated on a granite hill surrounded by a loop of the Tagus River, the ancient Castilian capital attracts more visitors from around the world than any other Spanish town. Visit the walled Old Town with a Local Guide and marvel at the 12th-century CHURCH OF ST. TOME, known for its large painting by El Greco of The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. Later, cross the Guadalquivir River and head for the olive and orange groves that dot the rolling Andalusian hills. Overnight in history-steeped Granada at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. (B,D)

Day 3 - Cordoba

Granada was the Arabs most treasured city, and they still mourn its loss in their prayers. With a Local Guide, visit the ALHAMBRA COMPLEX, built by Moorish kings. More grand scenery as you travel to Loja. Captured and held by the Moors, it was formerly known as Medina Lawsa until it was recaptured by the Christians in 1486 during the Reconquista. Explore this \'flower among thorns\' before reaching Montilla to visit a local WINE CELLAR and taste some of its wine. Then, continue to Cordoba on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. (B)

Day 4 - Seville

With a Local Guide visit the magnificent MEZQUITA, famous for its 850 pillars of porphyry, marble, and jasper. Then, travel through the stunningly scenic area of Pueblos Blancos - the 'White - Washed Villages of Andalusia'. This picturesque region is famous for the deep El Tajo gorge that literally cuts it in two, and is the birthplace of modern bullfighting. On to vibrant, festive Seville. (B,D)

Day 5 - Seville

Get to know Seville on the included city tour. Capital of Andalusia and the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, colorful Seville has much to offer: the cathedral, the third-largest church in the world after St. Peter's in Rome and St. Paul's in London; the beautiful La Giralda minaret tower, a symbol of Seville; the Real Alca¡zar palace with its extravagant moorish architecture and opulent gardens; Plaza de Espana, used in the filming of Episodes I and II in the Star Wars trilogy; and so much more. Day 6 - Lisbon

Enjoy the scenery of the Sierra de Aracena before crossing into Portugal and the fertile plains of the Alentejo. Admire the forest of cork trees and make a stop to visit Evora, a delightfully attractive Moorish city with arches, alleys, flower-decked balconies, brilliant white houses, and the Temple of Diana. Continue to Lisbon. (B)

Day 7 - Lisbon

Day 9 - Porto

Discover Oporto's highlights on the guided city tour. See its historical cathedral, overlooking the Port wine cellars along the banks of the Douro River. This afternoon, maybe join an optional excursion to Guimaraes, considered the 'cradle' of Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight, sample local cuisine on the included dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 10 - Salamanca

Enjoy the profusion of woodlands and mountains on your return to Spain via the scenic Douro Valley. Reach the ancient and beautiful university town of Salamanca in the early evening and maybe take a stroll in the Plaza Mayor. (B)

Day 11 - Madrid

Journey to fortified Avila with its many towers and visit ST. THERESA\'s CONVENT before continuing to Segovia, a medieval town picturesquely set on a rocky hill. Spend some time in Segovia before crossing the boundary between new and old Castile to arrive in Madrid. (B)

Day 12 - Madrid

Day 1 - Madrid

Day 2 - Lisbon

The rest of the day is at leisure for you to catch the nostalgic corners of Alfama Quarter, the old city gathered next to its Castle, with old buildings nested in narrow twisting "Ruas" full of colour housing the genuine "tabernas" where Fado sounds as a missing past.

Day 4 - Fatima

Transfer from hotel in Lisbon to hotel in Fatima, en route visit Obidos, Alcobaca, Nazare & Batalha (Seat in Coach).

Drive northland, arrive to our first point of interest: the beautiful walled town of Obidos with its picturesque streets and the Pousada do Castelo. Continue to Alcobaca, visit a 12th century church containing the tombs of Pablo and Ines de Castro followed by a visit to the picturesque and fishing village of Nazare. If weather permits continue your journey to the Sitio to have a panoramic view of the beach and the village.
In the afternoon, visit the Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage place by UNESCO.
 Continue to Fatima.

Day 5 - Lisbon

At the end of the day, return to Lisbon through the colorful farming region.

The day is at leisure for activities of a personal nature in Fatima, center of Christian faith and World Pilgrims Sanctuary with its impressive Basilica and Cova da Iria where Virgin Mary appeared. The church where the tombstones of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco are, The Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine.

Day 6 - Cordoba

Transfer from hotel in Lisbon to hotel in Cordoba, en route visit Caceres (Seat in Coach).

Depart to Caceres which is considered as a World Heritage place because of the city's blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. Walk through its Plaza Mayor and the old town with its famous Medieval Quarter.
 Afterwards, continue on towards Cordoba, once the capital of the Caliphate.

Day 7 - Seville

Enjoy an impressive tour of the mosque and other sites that will ease our mind and spirit strolling through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter in Cordoba. In the afternoon, after a short two hours ride, reach Seville.

Day 8 - Seville

Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Seville (Seat in Coach).

In the morning, proceed for a monumental and panoramic city tour which includes the Cathedral, the second largest cathedral in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome. The Santa Cruz Quarter, a natural scenario of "Carmen" as well as a precisely where the myth of "Don Juan" developed. The Maria Luisa Park and Spain square.

Day 9 - Costa Del Sol

Transfer from hotel in Seville to hotel in Costa Del Sol via Ronda (Seat in Coach).

After breakfast at the hotel, drive south passing typical villages.
En route, visit Ronda where you will get time to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvellous view of the valley and mountain range.
In the afternoon, continue on to the Costa del Sol, one of the most modern and important international tourist areas.

Day 10 - Costa Del Sol

The day is at leisure for you to enjoy the wonderful beaches of the Costa del Sol and surrounding areas.

Day 11 - Casablanca

After breakfast at the hotel, drive along the picturesque tourist route of Costa del Sol via internationally renowned places as Marbella and Puerto Banus to Tarifa.

A ferry boat will be used for a short and interesting crossing of the strait of Gibraltar towards Africa.

Transfer from ferry terminal in Tangier to hotel in Casablanca, en route city tour of Rabat (Seat in Coach).

On arrival in Tangier, disembark, clear customs and drive southwards via Larache to Rabat, diplomatic and administrative capital, official residence of the King Mohamed VI. Enjoy a city tour visiting the important sights as the Royal Palace from outside, Mohamed V Mausoleum, the unfinished Hassan Tower which are important examples of the Almohade architecture.
Later, depart to Casablanca, actual industrial and economic capital and the most populated city housing a 10% of the Country population.

Day 12 - Marrakech

Transfer from hotel in Casablanca to hotel in Marrakech, en route city tour of Casablanca and Marrakech (Seat in Coach).

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a panoramic city tour through the most interesting sections of the city. Visit Anfa boulevard, Nations square, residential areas and the outside of the Hassan II grand mosque.
Later, depart towards Marrakech.
Marrakech is the capital of the South, which is located within an extensive oasis between the Atlas mountains and the pre-deserted area. Sightseeing, includes the Koutoubia Tower, twin tower of the Giralda in Seville, Saadines Tombs and Bay Palace, walk around the medina, souks and the magic Jma El Fna Square, which is packed with fortune tellers, snake tamers, acrobats, dancers, all making the centre of the city an open air theatre that requires the participance of the audience.

Day 13 - Fes

Transfer from hotel in Marrakech to hotel in Fez, en route panoramic tour of Meknes (Seat in Coach).

After breakfast, depart to Meknes, an old walled (40 km) imperial city located in the heart of the Mid Atlas. Enjoy a panoramic tour. Admire the great Bab Al Mansour Gate, Morocco's most beautiful Gate and the most well known monument in town.
Afterwards, depart to Fez, one of the Imperial cities. Its University of "Karaouyne" is the largest Islamic sanctuary in Morocco and various ancient theological schools are points of attraction.

Day 15 - Costa Del Sol

After breakfast at the hotel, depart to to the ferry terminal in Tangier to board the ferry .

Return across the strait of Gibraltar back to Spain.

Arrive in Tarifa and drive towards Costa del Sol.

Day 16 - Costa Del Sol

The day is at leisure for you to enjoy the wonderful beaches of the Costa del Sol and surrounding areas.

Day 17 - Granada

Transfer from hotel in Costa Del Sol to hotel in Granada, en route visit the world famous Alhambra (Seat in Coach).

In the morning depart towards the city of Granada and its incredible and amazing monumental environment, last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world famous Alhambra (Red Palace) and Generalife Gardens that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the "Tales of the Alhambra" by W. Irving.
Arrive in Granada and check in to your hotel.

Day 18 - Granada

Transfer from City Centre point to airport in Madrid for your flight back home.
