This morning, transfer from your hotel to train station in Rome train.

Florence, also known as the city of the lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzi dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself. Day 5 - Venice

Excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello (Seat in Coach).

This morning enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Day 6 - Lake Como

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by train from Venice to Lake Como. Truly beautiful! This jewel in the crown of Italy's famous lakes is a haven of tranquility, superb cuisine, majestic snow capped mountains, courteous folk and style. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

On arrival in Como, proceed to the hotel. The old town is still to this day protected by high walls, but is populated by small and interesting local and designer shops. Strolling through these streets is part of the local culture. Grab a latte at one of the many street cafes and watch the elegant procession of young and old alike in all their finery.

Day 7 - Lake Como

Today, explore Lake Como at your leisure, relax in the cafe's, people watch, drink pure Italian coffee, absorb the history and elegance, you will be amazed by the spectacular scenery.

Day 8 - Milan

Today, check-out from your hotel and proceed to the train station.

Travel from Lake Como to Milan by train.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel in Milan on your own.

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by train from Venice to Lake Como. Truly beautiful! This jewel in the crown of Italy's famous lakes is a haven of tranquility, superb cuisine, majestic snow capped mountains, courteous folk and style. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

On arrival in Como, proceed to the hotel. The old town is still to this day protected by high walls, but is populated by small and interesting local and designer shops. Travel by train from Rome to Florence.

On arrival in Florence, the birth Place of Renaissance, proceed to your hotel. Also known as the city of Lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzo dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself.

Enjoy an excursion to Pisa (Seat in Coach).

This afternoon, embark on a splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. After a panoramic drive along the beautiful riversides, the tour proceeds with a guided tour to Piazza dei Miracoli to find the celebrated Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries, the Baptistery and other important monuments. You will then walk to Piazza dei Cavalieri, where the Scuola Normale, one of the most famous universities in the world, resides.

Day 6 - Venice

This morning, transfer to the train station for your train to the magical city of Venice.

Travel by train from Florence to Venice. Venice is just as romantic and beautiful as it looks in travelogues and movies. The piazzas and singing gondoliers, the idiosyncratic buildings and water taxis are all there to be seen, admired and photographed for posterity.

On arrival in Venice, transfer to the hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this city (on your own).

Day 7 - Venice

This morning, enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Later in the afternoon explore Milan at your own on Hop On Hop Off Tour and see the most interesting sites of the city including the Duomo, Milan's most famous landmark.

Day 1 - Brussels

Depart London early this morning and head out into the lush countryside to the English Channel port, where you board a FERRY bound for the Continent. Upon arrival, your Tour Director and luxury motorcoach meet you, and you're off across Belgium to Brussels.

Day 2 - Strasbourg

Cross the German border and stop for an included walking tour in ancient Trier, founded by the Celts in the late 4th century BC. Later, travel through the fabled Black Forest, known for its cuckoo clocks, wood carving, delectable Black Forest Cake, and traditional farmhouses with sweeping, half-hipped roofs. Cross into France to arrive in Strasbourg for an overnight. (B,D).

Day 3 - Lucerne

On your included walking tour in Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament, see the monumental gothic cathedral with its ancient murals, stained-glass windows, and fascinating astronomical clock; experience the unique Franco-German culture; and explore the city's historic heart in the magical La Petite France district. Later, enter Switzerland and head towards the majestic Alps before stopping in Lucerne. Visit the LION MONUMENT, a masterful stone sculpture honoring Louis XVI's heroic Swiss Guard, and CHAPEL BRIDGE, Europe's oldest covered bridge. (B).

Day 4 - Milan

More wonderful alpine scenery awaits as you drive into the mountains surrounding massive St. Gotthard. Pass through its great tunnel, then begin your scenic descent into the warmth and sunshine of Canton Ticino. Take a break in lovely Lugano and stroll along its lakeside promenade. On to vibrant Milan, Italy's fashion capital. (B,D).

Day 5 - Venice

Leave Milan and cross the flat Po River plain to the Venice area. Here, you'll board your private MOTORBOAT for incredible views of the Bridge of Sighs, Doges Palace, and monumental ST. MARK'S SQUARE. Later, visit a GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP to watch a skilled craftsman at work. Don't miss out on an optional gondola serenade that glides through century - old canals. (B,D).

Day 6 - Rome

An interesting drive southward, through the gentle Umbrian hills to medieval Assisi, where St. Francis was born in 1182. Visit the world-famous BASILICA with its beautiful frescoes by Giotto, then head for Rome. (B).

Day 7 - Rome

Today's sightseeing of the Eternal City with a Local Guide features St. Peter's Square, and includes an inside visit of the COLOSSEUM and the ROMAN FORUM. (B).

Day 8 - Montecatini

Say Arrivederci, Roma as you drive northwards through lovely Tuscan countryside to reach Florence. On the included walking tour with a Local Guide, discover the landmarks of this Renaissance city, like Piazza Signoria with the Loggia dei Lanzi, Palazzo Vecchio, and the breathtaking cathedral on Piazza del Duomo. Overnight in the spa town of Montecatini. (B).

Day 9 - French Riviera

Stop in Pisa to see the Leaning Tower and the SQUARE OF MIRACLES. Bypassing the great port of Genoa, head northwest, getting glimpses of the Italian and French Rivieras. Visit one of the famous PERFUME FACTORIES in before reaching your destination on the lovely French Riviera. (B).

Day 10 - Lyon

Leave the French Riviera this morning and head inland, crossing sun-drenched Provence. Take in the Mediterranean atmosphere of Aix - en - Provence, then travel through the famous wine-producing area of the Rhone Valley. Overnight in the Lyon area. (B,D).

Day 11 - Paris

Enjoy vistas of famous Burgundy vineyards on the way to Beaune, famous for wines such as Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Its Hotel-Dieu with its colorful roof is one of the oldest hospitals in Europe. Head for the exciting city of Paris. Time to enjoy an optional cabaret show. (B).

Day 12 - Paris

One full day to explore the city that's known throughout the world for its fashion, art and museums, delicious food, and joie de vivre. Included sightseeing with a local expert shows off many of the best-known Parisian sites: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opera, Madeleine, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Pyramid, the Invalides, and Champs Elyses. Optional excursion is also available to the Louvre and, to celebrate the success of your tour, a French farewell dinner might be just the ticket. (B).

Day 13 - Paris

Relax on your EUROSTAR journey back to London, where your holiday ends. (B).
