Day 2 - Rome

Steeped in history, the 'Eternal City' is vibrantly alive and exciting, and absolutely unique! Start your guided introduction to Rome from St. Peter's Square, the heart of the Vatican, and see other highlights such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Maybe take an optional tour of the Vatican Museum to discover some unique art masterpieces. (B)

Day 3 - Rome,Florence

Vistas of rolling hills, cypress trees, terraced vineyards, olive groves, and charming villages form the backdrop as you journey into the heart of Tuscany. Stop in Pisa to visit the SQUARE OF MIRACLES and see the legendary Leaning Tower. Then, head east to magnificent Florence, 'Cradle of the Renaissance' (B)

Day 4 - Florence

Today is devoted to the wonders of Florence, starting with a guided walking tour featuring some of the city's greatest attractions. See Piazza Santa Croce; world-famous Signoria Square; 13th-century Palazzo Vecchio with its collection of artistic masterpieces and incredible courtyards; Loggia dei Lanzi; the fantastic Duomo with Giotto's gothic Bell Tower; and the Baptistry's ornate bronze door known as the 'Gate of Paradise'. Day 5 - Florence,Venice

Travel north and cross the Po River to fabled Verona, setting for Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. See Julie's balcony - and be sure to rub the shining breast on her statue for good luck! Also, marvel at the ancient Roman Amphitheater, where gladiators used to fight. Built in the 1st century AD, it is now a popular venue for the world-famous opera festival and other well-known artists' performances. Continue to the Venice area for two overnights. (B)

Day 6 - Venice

One of the most unique cities on Earth, Venice is a place of unmatched beauty and a feast of fantastic sites. View the delightful criss-crossing canals, the gondolas, arched bridges, palaces, and piazzas. Your included orientation features a BOAT RIDE to St. Mark's Square and a visit to a Venetian GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP. Later, explore at leisure on your own, join one of our optional excursions, or just relax, sipping a cappuccino or typical Venetian drink called spritz at one of the many bars or cafes. (B,D)

Day 4 - Kriens

En route north, catch a glimpse of stunning Lake Como as we make our way into the massive Swiss Alps and head to the jaw-droppingly beautiful Alpine town of Lucerne. With covered wooden bridges, cobbled lanes and quaint buildings, Lucerne's centre is perfect to explore on foot. Also to stock up on lots of genuine Swiss chocolate! Your Trip Manager can give you pointers on where to pick up the best-priced watches that Switzerland is so famous for. After the stop in Lucerne we'll make our way to Lauterbrunnen- our stop for the next two nights.

Day 5 - Kriens

It's change of pace amongst Switzerland's massive Alps. Take in the amazing views from your chalet window. Opt to visit Jungfrau Mountain, head up the sheer slopes of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site on a cog rail to Europe's highest railway station, and step out onto the roof of Europe for spine-tingling views. Back at the chalet, make the most of the genuine underground Bomb Shelter and party it up with friends at the bar there.

Day 6 - Paris

With down-time on the coach, plug in your MP3, chill out to some music and chat with friends while travelling through the scenic wine producing region of Burgundy. Tonight, the group kick starts Paris with the Paris by Night, which shows off the French capital's transformation into the 'City of Lights'. Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafes give us a real taste of Paris romance. Your Trip Manager will fill you in on the worlds most recognised monuments, like the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower.

Day 7 - Paris

Next up: Fragonard! This perfumery has an elegant interior and is a unique setting for a look into the history of perfume. It's also a chance to pick up some French perfume at great prices. This town is loaded with possibilities. Discover its many bistros, museums, tree-lined avenues and diverse quartiers (neighbourhoods). Get a feel for French flair by window shopping on the Left Bank. Step into the Notre Dame or explore the endless galleries of the Louvre, where you can get up close to the famous Mona Lisa. In your free time, try indulging in some delicious pastries and relax in one of Paris many city parks. Tonight is the last night with your friends, so make it special. Day 3 - Sorrento

This morning, it's a boat ride to the main marina of the island of Capri, famous for its stunning caves and surrounding rock formations. Get out on the water of the Bay of Naples in an optional cruise around Capri in our very own traditional wooden motorboat. See the world-famous Green and White Grottos and choose to get up closer to the world-famous Blue Grotto, with its intense blue glow, on a separate boat ride into the cave. With plenty of swim stops on the cruise around the island, cool off in the Mediterranean and then use your free time to explore even more of the island.

Soak up the views and head off with some friends into the cute, white-washed villages where you can try out the region's sweet lemon liqueur, limoncello. If you have time, explore Sorrento's web of narrow streets or the Villa Communale Park, which has stunning views of Mt. Vesuvius.

Day 4 - Florence

Wind through the Apennine Mountains and Tuscan countryside to the Renaissance city of Florence. Before arriving in Florence, we'll stop off for a wine tasting in the rustic hills of the gorgeous Tuscan countryside, known for its iconic cypress trees and olive oil. In an historic villa, the group will see a working winery, complete with its old cellar and vats. Here you can learn more about the region's wines as you taste a glass or two of the local wine.

Then, it's on to breathtaking Florence. The scene-stealing Duomo Cathedral rises above the city's centre, which serves up frescoes, markets and priceless art. After dinner, walk along the River Arno with your Trip Manager, take in the atmosphere and head into the heart of Florence, where you can sit back and relax Tuscan style with a glass of Chianti wine.

Day 7 - Venice

Known as the floating city, Venice is packed with character, crammed with hidden lanes and linked by a network of canals. The group travels on our private boat through the waters of the lagoon to visit the city's historical heart. The limestone Bridge of Sighs, the Gothic arches of the Doges Palace and the expanse of St. Marks Square (pigeons and all!) show off Venices unique beauty and way of life. Take some time to explore the floating city and lose yourself in the backstreets. There's an optional walking tour where you can discover the labyrinth of interweaving lanes, waterways, palaces, piazzi and markets with our Local Guide.

You'll see historic monuments, hidden treasures and the Rialto market a local favourite for food shopping. Maybe grab a table on St. Mark's Square and eat some delicious Italian food al fresco. Day 8 - Milan

Along the pretty shores of Lake Garda, we drop into the quintessential European lake town of Sirmione, complete with vine-covered villas, Roman ruins and a castle. For amazing views of the surrounding Dolomite Mountain range and an interesting lakeside look at the local lifestyle, we've organised a chance to go out on Italy's largest lake in an optional cruise. Later, the energy levels turn up a notch as we head to Italy's fashion capital and economic powerhouse, Milan.

Your Trip Manager will show off Milan's monuments and talk to you about the massive Duomo Cathedral, the elegant shopping arcade of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the world-famous La Scala Opera House, where many singing greats have graced the stage. With a free afternoon, hit the streets of this cool capital and you'll be rewarded with designer stores and funky little boutiques. Day 9 - La Spezia

Heading south, we hit the national park and UNESCO World Heritage site of the Cinque Terre, where colourful coastal villages dot 18 kilometres of ragged cliffs and old walled vineyards tumble down the hillside almost to the wate's edge. It's a great journey by train along the coast, giving you the chance to take in the unique atmosphere.

Watch the locals fishing along the shore, rub shoulders with the rich in famous in Portovenere and check out picture-postcard town of Monterosso. Later chill out and get a slice of the good life, grab a table at a beachfront cafe and try some mouthwatering pesto with locally baked foccacia bread.

Day 10 - Rome

This morning, there's free time in Pisa and some fun photo-ops of its most famous monument, the Leaning Tower. Later, we head back to the 'Eternal City' of Rome. This city oozes energy and overflows with relics from another age which you'll encounter at almost every corner. Our special access coach tour gets you right into the thriving atmosphere of this living timeline as your Trip Manager shows you the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Continue on foot to check out the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Honour tradition at the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin in the fountain's waters (it's meant to improve your chances of returning to Rome!) or maybe hang out with your new friends at the Spanish Steps, sit back with a few slices of pizza and people watch.

Day 11 - Rome

This morning, check-out the smallest country in the world and home to the Pope, the Vatican City. There's included entry and our Local Guide to show you St. Peter's Basilica and Michelangelo's masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel. Make the most of our Local Guide's inside knowledge and uncover the remains of an ancient empire with a fantastic optional tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Take off into the city and absorb the atmosphere, as Vespas flash past timeworn monuments that are surrounded by fountains, pizzerias, cafe's and bars. In your free time, live the local lifestyle by indulging in a long lunch on a paved piazza or knock back a shot of espresso at the bar, like the Romans do. Make your last night on tour special by hooking up with your friends for an optional dinner. Day 5 - Porto Venere

Today, journey to Pisa and get up close to its most famous monument, the Leaning Tower. Later, it's onto the to the national park and UNESCO World Heritage site of Cinque Terre, where colourful coastal villages dot 18km of ragged cliffs and old walled vineyards reach the water's edge. As we cruise (if the weather holds) and train along the coast, take in the atmospheric scenes and watch the locals fishing along the shore. Rub shoulders with the rich and famous in Portovenere and check out picture-perfect Monterosso. Some ideas for your free time in the area include walking the legendary Via dell\'Amore (Lover's Lane) for amazing sea views. First stop: Montjuic. The hilltop has full-blown vistas of the city and it's where we stop to check out the 1992 Olympic Games complex. Afterwards, get a look into Spanish architect Gaudi's wild imagination with his Art Nouveau masterpiece, the Sagrada Famia­lia church. Your Trip Manager walks you through the cobbled lanes of Barcelona's oldest district, the Gothic Quarter. There's free time to discover more of Barcelona's creative core. Pick up some quirky buys in the side streets or hit the big label shops on Placaa de Catalunya. Then, step into the largest palace in Europe with our Local Guide and experience a slice of the royal lifestyle as our expert shows you through the Royal Palace's lavish rooms. If there's a state function happening, we'll head to the world-famous Prado Museum instead. In your free time, snack on the local favourite, churros (Spain's version of the doughnut) or grab a chilled cerveza (beer) and put your feet up. Otherwise there's time to explore more of Madrid's arty side and to visit its world class galleries, like the Reina Sofia National Art Museum.
