Day 1 - Madrid

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Evening transport to the Gran Via district.

Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the airport, we shall be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Our guide will be ready to welcome you and will provide the necessary information. Towards the end of the day, we provide transfers to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de Espana and Gran Via; a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern are some of the options.

Day 2 - Madrid

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Madrid city tour. Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring. Stroll through the Retiro Park.

This morning, experience the city on a guided tour, which showcases the city's vibrant centre, the beautiful Plaza Mayor (Main Square), its broad and magnificent avenues and its many fountains. Our tour includes a visit to see inside the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, a fine-looking building. Here we learn about the tradition of corridas in the Bullfighting Museum. Also the day includes a walking tour of the beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace.

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. If you wish, there is an optional visit to the ROYAL PALACE. At sunset we provide transfer to the Plaza de Oriente in the historic centre of Madrid, opposite the Royal Palace. In this area there are many restaurants serving different exquisite cuisines (Indian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Spanish, International). Return to hotel.

Day 3 - Granada

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Entrance and local guide in the Alhambra. Evening transfer.

Leaving Madrid by bus in the early morning (if the group of English-speaking travellers is fewer than 10, they will share the trip to Granada with Spanish-speaking passengers). We travel to the south across La Mancha, stopping in PUERTO LAPICE, a manchego village evoking the figure of Don Quixote. We will enter Andalusia via Despenperros. GRANADA, arrival. In the afternoon we will visit the immense Alhambra Palace, with entrance and local guide included, and its beautiful Generalife gardens, built in Arab times.

Later, enjoy an evening transfer to the Plaza de Gracia in Granada's city centre, where restaurants mix with local cultural flavour to create an unforgettable night. Choose between Spanish, international, Chinese, Latin cuisines, etc. Tonight you have the option to attend a flamenco dance show and the traditional neighbourhood of Sacramonte.

Note: in the Alhambra complex, the Nazari palaces allow a limited number of people in at a time. In the highly improbable case of not being able to visit this area of the Alhambra, a visit to the Alcazares will be included in Seville (which have similar architecture and features).

Day 4 - Seville

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: we will see the beautiful Andalusian village of Ronda.

We leave Granada and travel towards the Costa del Sol. MALAGA, arrival and time for a stroll in the historic centre with its cathedral and the Picasso Museum. After this we will continue along the coastal motorway with beautiful views of the Mediterranean. PUERTO BANUS, in Marbella, a pretty high level recreational port. Time for lunch.

In the afternoon we will continue through the hills and their stories of bandoliers until we come to RONDA, a very beautiful white town with its large gorge that divides it in two. Continuation to SEVILLE. Arrival at the end of the afternoon.

Day 5 - Madrid

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Guided visit with local expert in Seville. High Speed train from Seville to Madrid.

After breakfast, a local expert guides you through a scenic visit of Seville featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda, the banks of the Guadalquivir river, popular neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de Espana (note: if the group has fewer than fifteen travelers, it can be arranged in both Spanish and English). In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the train station. We travel for 2 and half hr on a high-speed train to Madrid. The train is quite comfortable and it is an enjoyable trip through Andalusian and Castilian landscapes. Possibility for the train to reach speeds of around 300 km/h (186 m/h). Arrival to Madrid and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6 - Barcelona

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Basicica del Pilar, visit to medieval monastery. Ride on a rack train.

We depart early in the morning from Madrid. Heading towards Aragon, we pause our journey in ZARAGOZA. Our guide will join the group to Basilica del Pilar. We visit this impressive sanctuary. Directly afterwards, the group will have free time in the city centre. Later, we make our way to Catalunja to the Monastery of Poblet, surrounded by walls in a beautiful setting, this is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). We then go on to the Monastery of Montserrat where we include a ride on the rack train for the fantastic views this gives. Continuation to BARCELONA, arrival in the late afternoon.

Important note: in the winter months, from November to March (included), due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited (so that we can reach Montserrat in the daylight).

Day 7 - Barcelona

TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS: Barcelona city tour. Spanish Village visit and evening transfer to Las Ramblas district.

Today we will get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert (note: If the group has fewer than fifteen people, explanations can be given by our guide.) We also visit the city's historic central area with its Gothic neighbourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. We will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. It will be possible to see and photograph La Sagrada Familia basilica; the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaud. Subsequently, we include the entry ticket to Poble Espanyol (meaning Spanish Village. This open air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Free time to explore the city on your own.

In the evening we provide transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants (including Indian, Chinese, Halal, International and regional Spanish cuisine). Return to hotel.

Day 8 - Barcelona

After breakfast, end of our services.

Day 2 - Madrid

Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Madrid (Seat in Coach)

In the morning, proceed for a panoramic city tour. Find the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Moreria, characterized by the antiquity of its buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by Phillip II and his Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcala. Admire the XIX C. works such as Prado Museum.
Enjoy contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Via, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial zones of modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabeu football stadium

Day 3 - Seville

Today, transfer to the bus terminal, located in the underground parking of the Plaza de Oriente.

Transfer from bus terminal in Plaza de Oriente to hotel in Seville via Cordoba (Seat in Coach).

Drive southward along the land of Don Quixote, "The man from La Mancha". Along the way observe vast vineyards. Cross through the natural border of "Despenaperros" and get into Andalucia, a region for itself that shows and enormous heritage from a splendorous past.
Once you arrive at Cordoba you enjoy an impressive tour of its mosque and other sites that will ease our mind and spirit strolling through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter.
In the afternoon, after a short two hours ride reach Seville.

Day 4 - Seville

Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Seville (Seat in Coach).

In the morning, proceed for a monumental and panoramic city tour which includes the Cathedral, the second largest cathedral in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome. The Santa Cruz Quarter, a natural scenario of "Carmen" as well as a precisely where the myth of "Don Juan" developed. You visit the Maria Luisa Park and Spain square.

Day 5 - Costa Del Sol

Transfer from hotel in Seville to hotel in Costa Del Sol via Ronda (Seat in Coach).

After breakfast at the hotel, drive south passing typical villages.
En route, visit Ronda where you will get time to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvellous view of the valley and mountain range.
In the afternoon, continue on to the Costa del Sol, one of the most modern and important international tourist areas.

Day 6 - Granada

Today, after breakfast, depart towards the city of Granada and its incredible and amazing monumental environment, last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world famous Alhambra (Red Palace) and Generalife Gardens, that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the "Tales of the Alhambra".

Day 7 - Madrid

Transfer from hotel in Granada to hotel in Madrid, en route city tour of Toledo (Seat in Coach)

Drive northward, toward the sky of Castilla and surrounded by the Tagus river, the impressive Imperial city of Toledo - World Heritage City - where the three cultures Christians, Moorish and Jewish, have lived together. The entire city is a collective art hub reflecting Spanish art, history, spirituality and the whole town is a National Monument. The city tour includes the most important monuments, its narrow streets and the famous "Damasquinado" (gold and silver inlaying in iron).
 Later continue your journey to Madrid.

Visit fortified Avila with its intact medieval city walls, then on to Salamanca. Make sure you spend some time wandering around Salamanca's Plaza Mayor, considered the most beautiful square in Spain. Journey into the valley of the Serra da Estrela on your way to Coimbra in Portugal. (B,D)

Day 3 - Coimbra,Lisbon

Enjoy an orientation tour of Coimbra, strategically situated on a hill overlooking the Mondego River. Continue to Fatima to see the SANCTUARY, a famous pilgrimage site where the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children-Francisco, Jacinth, and Lucia-on May 13, 1917. On to Obidos, a fortified city still flanked by towers and bastions overlooking the countryside dotted with windmills. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

Day 4 - Lisbon

Henry the Navigator made Lisbon the 15th-century "Mistress of the Seas". You'll see his monument, the Belem Tower, the Moorish Citadel, the impressive Black Horse Square, and other highlights on the guided city tour. Spend the afternoon at leisure in the Alfama's tile-decorated streets, or discover the Estoril Coast to Cascais and Sintra by joining our optional excursion. (B)

Day 5 - Lisbon,Seville

Drive into the Alentejo through the countryside, famous for its production of cork. Cross the border at Vila Verde into Spain and journey into Andalusia, enjoying quite different scenery as you skirt the Sierra de Aracena before reaching delightful Seville. (B,D)

Day 6 - Seville

Seville is one of Spain's most colorful and vibrant cities. Enjoy an included sightseeing tour with all the main highlights, including the iconic Plaza de Espana. (B)

Day 7 - Seville,Madrid

Travel to Cordoba, Spain's most Moorish city with its Great Mosque, which is rightly known as one of Isla's greatest pieces of architecture outside the Arab world. On through the very heart of La Mancha, famed for its castles and windmills, to Madrid. This evening, why not join the optional "Madrid by Night" excursion with dinner? (B)

Day 8 - Madrid

Enjoy free time in Madrid, or join the rewarding optional trip to Toledo. The splendid setting of this old walled city above the Tagus was made famous in El Grecos painting-even now, it's like a great open-air museum of Spanish history and art. Later, join the included Madrid city sightseeing. Not only because it's the capital of Spain but also because it is situated 2,180 feet above sea level, the Spaniards say it's the nearest thing to Heaven. (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, start driving looking for the Mediterranean coast.
Via Murcia, capital of the fertile garden of the Segura river, continue north via Alicante, the second largest city within the autonomous region land of Valencia. Valencia is one of the main capitals of the Mediterranean coast with its modern Arts and Sciences Architectural Complex integrated by six elements: Hemispheric, Umbracle, Science Museum, Oceanographic, Palau de les Arts and Agora. Transfer from hotel in Valencia to hotel in Barcelona, en route city tour of Valencia (Seat in Coach).

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a morning city tour including a drive through the old city showing the most prominent buildings, we will then be driven past the old riverbed of the Turia to the most avant-garde complex "Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias" to watch the emblematic exteriors of the six buildings.
Early afternoon, depart northward, all along the Mediterranean coast to Catalunya, via Tarragona, the Roman Tarraco. Barcelona is the principal Mediterranean city and is the homeland of the famous architect Gaudi symbol of the Catalonian modernism.

Welcome to Spain!! On arrival at airport in Madrid, you will be met by our assistant and transferred to the hotel and check-in at your hotel by 1400hours.
As the capital of the Spanish Empire, Madrid was once the richest and most powerful city in the world. The power and glory of Madrid is reflected in its parks, plazas, boulevards and in the pride and panache of today's Madrilenos.

Day 2 - Madrid

Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Madrid (Seat in Coach).

In the morning, proceed for a panoramic city tour. Find the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Moreria, characterized by the antiquity of its buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by Phillip II and his Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcala. Admire the XIX C. works such as Prado Museum.
Enjoy contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Via, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial zones of Modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabeu football stadium.
A stop will be made at the famous "Hard Rock Cafe" to enjoy a free drink.

Day 3 - Seville

Today, transfer to the bus terminal, located in the underground parking of the Plaza de Oriente.
Drive southward along the land of Don Quixote, "The man from La Mancha". Along the way observe vast vineyards. Cross through the natural border of "Despenaperros" and get into Andalucia, a region for itself that shows and enormous heritage from a splendorous past.
Once you arrive at Cordoba you enjoy an impressive tour of its mosque and other sites that will ease our mind and spirit strolling through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter.
In the afternoon, after a short two hours ride reach Seville.

In the morning, proceed for a monumental and panoramic city tour which includes the Cathedral, the second largest cathedral in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome.
