Today, your day unfolds with a guided orientation tour of Beijing, viewing historic landmarks like Tiananmen Square, the largest open public square in the world, flanked by the imposing Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace), the original gate of the Imperial Palace. Continue to the Forbidden City. Admire this architectural masterpiece with exotic pavilions, serene courtyards, rich halls and flourishing gardens. The grand finale is a visit to the Summer Palace, a magnificent imperial garden located 12kms west of Beijing City. A summer retreat for emperors and a chosen few in the past, it is now the largest and most ancient preserved garden in China and includes over 100 ancient pavilions, mansions, towers, halls, temples, bridges and an enormous clear water lake. Today, visit the only man-made structure visible from the moon, the Great Wall of China at Juyong Pass. It is one of the oldest historical monuments in the world and a symbol of China's ancient civilisation. Traditionally known as the "Wall of Ten Thousand Li", it leaves you spellbound by its sheer magnitude and architectural splendour. Proceed to visit the Temple of Heaven, a complex of religious buildings visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to heaven for a good harvest. Later, visit a Jade Factory. Make a brief photostop at the Beijing Olympic Park for an outside view of the Bird's Nest Stadium and National Aquatic Centre. Finally, visit the Dha-Shi-Lan, one of Beijing's most famous old-fashioned streets with a history dating back 570 years. Today, check out and transfer to the train station. Enjoy the Bullet Train Experience to Shanghai. On arrival at Shanghai and after your Lunch proceed to your Hotel for Check In . Afternoon proceed to the to the Bund area. The renowned waterfront district is the city's most famous landmark. We embark on Cruise on the Huangpu River .It starts from the Shiliupu Pier to the south of the Bund, passing through the scenic spots of the New Bund, the Binjiang Avenue of Pudong New Area, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the People"s Hero Memorial Column. Visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower which was completed on 01st October 1994. It has become a symbol of the city and a popular tourist attraction. Nanjing Road starts at the Bund and runs westward with People's square in the middle. It earned its reputation as the "First Commercial Road in China". Some of the traditional food and handicrafts of Shanghai can be found here. Visit Yu Garden, located in the southern part of Shanghai, is a wellrestored Suzhou-style garden. Day 1 - Beijing

Welcome to your "Chinese Getaway - Winter 2017 " tour! On arrival into Beijing, your representative greets you at the 'meeting point' at the exit after immigration and customs and transfers you comfortably to the hotel check in. In the evening, you have an option to enjoy the Golden Mask Show. Dinner

Day 2 - Beijing

Today, your day unfolds with a guided orientation tour of Beijing, viewing historic landmarks like Tiananmen Square, the largest open public square in the world, flanked by the imposing Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace), the original gate of the Imperial Palace. Continue to the Forbidden City. Admire this architectural masterpiece with exotic pavilions, serene courtyards, rich halls and flourishing gardens. The grand finale is a visit to the Summer Palace, a magnificent imperial garden located 12kms west of Beijing City. A summer retreat for emperors and a chosen few in the past, it is now the largest and most ancient preserved garden in China and includes over 100 ancient pavilions, mansions, towers, halls, temples, bridges and an enormous clear water lake. Day 3 - Beijing

Today, visit the only man-made structure visible from the moon, the Great Wall of China at Juyong Pass. It is one of the oldest historical monuments in the world and a symbol of China's ancient civilisation. Traditionally known as the "Wall of Ten Thousand Li", it leaves you spellbound by its sheer magnitude and architectural splendour. Proceed to visit the Temple of Heaven, a complex of religious buildings visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to heaven for a good harvest. Later, visit a Jade Factory. Make a brief photostop at the Beijing Olympic Park for an outside view of the Bird's Nest Stadium and National Aquatic Centre. Finally, visit the Dha-Shi-Lan, one of Beijing's most famous old-fashioned streets with a history dating back 570 years. It was built in 1430, the 18th year of Emperor Yong Le's rule during the Ming Dynasty. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 - Shanghai

Today, check out and transfer to the train station. Enjoy the Bullet Train Experience to Shanghai. On arrival at Shanghai and after your Lunch proceed to your Hotel for Check In . Afternoon proceed to the to the Bund area. The renowned waterfront district is the city's most famous landmark. We embark on Cruise on the Huangpu River .It starts from the Shiliupu Pier to the south of the Bund, passing through the scenic spots of the New Bund, the Binjiang Avenue of Pudong New Area, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the People"s Hero Memorial Column. Visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower which was completed on 01st October 1994. It has become a symbol of the city and a popular tourist attraction. This evening, you have an option to enjoy the Acrobatic Show at ERA theatre. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 - Shanghai

Today, begin your guided orientation tour with a visit to a Buddhist shrine Jade Buddha Temple. It is named for its two bejeweled white jade Buddha statues carved from a whole piece of white jade, displaying the skill and extraordinary art of Chinese people. Next, proceed for a visit to the Pearl Factory, thereafter, head to Nanjing Road for some great value-for-money shopping. Nanjing Road starts at the Bund and runs westward with People's square in the middle. It earned its reputation as the "First Commercial Road in China". Some of the traditional food and handicrafts of Shanghai can be found here. Visit Yu Garden, located in the southern part of Shanghai, is a wellrestored Suzhou-style garden. It is one of the best gardens in southern China with the pavilions, halls, chambers, towers, ponds and rockeries. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 - Shanghai

This morning after breakfast, transfer to the train station to take the Meglev train as we proceed to the Airport. Good times need never end!
