Day 1 - Tel Aviv

"Welcome to Israel, arrive into Tel Aviv airport and you will be met and transferred to your hotel by the local representative. Israel's second-largest city - modern, vibrant and cosmopolitan - is one of the country's greatest assets, a sun-bronzed strip of coastline where coffee and culinary innovation are the local obsessions, where residents speak every language under the sun, and where life is lived outdoors and to the fullest. The beginning of your journey in the Holy Land. Check into the hotel and rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Tel Aviv."

Day 2 - Tel Aviv,Tiberias

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be picked up from your hotel and drive for a short visit of the city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top. We drive north along the coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar. From there we go on to visit Megiddo where the book of Revelations mentions a great battle at the place called "Armageddon". It is an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000-500 B.C.). After exploring the ancient ruins we drive toward the Sea of Galilee. Arrive at Tiberias and check-in to your hotel. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3 - Tiberias

Breakfast at the hotel. Ascend to the Golan Heights to view the panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon, the rugged plateau of the Golan Heights, and beneath it the green pastoral Hula Valley. Our next destination will be Capernaum, the center of Jesus ministry. On to Tabgha, just north of Tiberias, the site of Christ's miracle of feeding the 5,000 and at the Church of Multiplication, where the mosaic floor depicts a basket with loaves and two fishes. We drive on to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea, where Jesus preached the "Sermon on the Mount" and it is believed that Jesus picked his 12 apostles. Return to Tiberias for another lovely night in town. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 4 - Tiberias,Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we travel to Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine. We proceed to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, and the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. You will also see Mary's Well and Joseph's Church. Drive to Beit Shean with its recently excavated amphitheater. Visit the excavations of this beautiful preserved Roman City which was destroyed in an earthquake. Continue along the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem, to check-in at your hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem

Day 5 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. En route to the Dead Sea, visit the site of the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Through remarkable scenery of the Dead Sea we continue to Masada which is situated on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert. The site was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod's palace, the synagogue, bathhouse and much more. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. Nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth's surface. Bring your swimsuit as if weather permits it's possible to "float" on the salty, mineral rich, water. Return to Jerusalem for overnight. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day at Mt. Scopus. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem. The holy city for each of the world's three great religions - Christianity, Judaism and Islam, Jerusalem occupies a unique place in the world. Your tour includes the Mount of Olives, a stop at the site where Jesus first gave the Lord's Prayer, and the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus. In the Old City you will see the Western Wall and the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount. Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. To the southwest, just outside the Old City, is Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Return to the hotel. Overnigth in Jerusalem.

Day 7 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. Today's tour includes Yad Vashem the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953, located at the foot of Mt. Hertzl. Enjoy Ein Karem; a picturesque village in the south western outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions, since this is where according to tradition John the Baptist was born. Visit the Israel Museum with a detailed model of Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive by the Knesset (House of Parliament) and the campus of the Hebrew University. Visit Bethlehem to see Rachel's Tomb and the Church of the Nativity.Overnight in Jerusalem

Day 8 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and you will be transferred to Tel Aviv Airprot for your flight back home.

Day 2 - Tiberias

This morning we drive for a short visit of the city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top.

Day 8 - Amman

Drive from Jerusalem to the Sheikh Hussein border crossing for procedures to enter Jordan. Proceed to Jerash - city of the Decapolis, located about 45km north of Amman in the fertile heights of the Gilad. Visit the ancient Roman city with colonnaded streets, the baths and the hill of the top Temple etc. Drive to Amman for a panoramic city tour of the Jordanian capital.

Overnight in Amman.

Day 9 - Petra

After breakfast drive to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From here you can see the Jordan Valley, Jericho and the Dead Sea. Continue south along the Desert Highway to Wadi Musa, the modern village of Petra.

Enter the site of Petra and walk, or ride on horseback to the Siq (Canyon). Walk through the "Siq" to the red rock city, the ancient capital of the Nabateans from 3rd Century BC to 2nd Century AD.

Visit the most interesting carved monuments such as the Treasury (El Khazneh - a tomb of a Nabatean king) then the field of tombs, obelisks and the altar (Al Madhbah) - from this point you can view the whole of the city. After the visit return to Wadi Musa.

Day 10 - Amman

Day 1 - Tel Aviv

On arrival at Tel Aviv Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 2 - Tiberias

This morning we drive for a short visit of the city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top.

We drive north along the coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar. From there we go on to visit Megiddo where the book of Revelations mentions a great battle at the place called "Armageddon". It is an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia.

After exploring the ancient ruins we drive toward the Sea of Galilee.

Arrive at Tiberias and check-in to your hotel.

Day 3 - Tiberias

Start the day from historic Tiberias, where Jesus lived, sojourned, and preached on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

Our next destination will be Capernaum, the center of Jesus ministry. On to Tabgha, just north of Tiberias, the site of Christ's miracle of feeding the 5,000 and at the Church of Multiplication, where the mosaic floor depicts a basket with loaves and two fishes. We drive on to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount and it is believed that Jesus picked his 12 apostles. We ascend to the Golan Heights to view the panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon, the rugged plateau of the Golan Heights, and beneath it the green pastoral Hula Valley. Return to Tiberias for another lovely night in town.

Day 4 - Jerusalem

This morning we travel to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, and the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. You will also see Marys Well and Joseph's Church. Proceed to nearby Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine.

Drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean with its recently excavated amphitheater. Visit the excavations of this beautiful preserved Roman City which was destroyed in an earthquake.

Continue to Jerusalem, to check-in at the hotel.

Through remarkable scenery of the Dead Sea we continue to Masada which is situated on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert. The site was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod's palace, the synagogue, bathhouse and much more. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. En route to the Dead Sea, you will see the site of the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

Nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth's surface. Bring your swimsuit as if weather permits it's possible to float on the salty, mineral rich, water.

Late evening return to Jerusalem.

Start the day at Mt. Scopus. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem. The holy city for each of the world's three great religions - Christianity, Judaism and Islam, Jerusalem occupies a unique place in the world. Your tour includes the Mount of Olives, a stop at the site where Jesus first gave the Lord's Prayer, and the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus. In the Old City you will see the Western Wall and the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount.

Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. To the southwest, just outside the Old City, is Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper.

Day 7 - Jerusalem

Today's tour includes Yad Vashem the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953, located at the foot of Mt. Hertzl. Enjoy Ein Karem; a picturesque village in the south western outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions, since this is where according to tradition John the Baptist was born.

Visit the Israel Museum with a detailed model of Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive by the Knesset (House of Parliament) and the campus of Hebrew University.

Visit Bethlehem to see Rachel's Tomb and the Church of the Nativity.

Day 8 - Amman

Drive from Jerusalem to the Sheikh Hussein border crossing for procedures to enter Jordan. Proceed to Jerash - city of the Decapolis, located about 45km north of Amman in the fertile heights of the Gilad. Visit the ancient Roman city with colonnaded streets, the baths and the hill of the top Temple etc. Drive to Amman for a panoramic city tour of the Jordanian capital.

Overnight in Amman.

Day 9 - Petra

After breakfast drive to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From here you can see the Jordan Valley, Jericho and the Dead Sea. Continue south along the Desert Highway to Wadi Musa, the modern village of Petra.

Enter the site of Petra and walk, or ride on horseback to the Siq (Canyon). Walk through the "Siq" to the red rock city, the ancient capital of the Nabateans from 3rd Century BC to 2nd Century AD.

Visit the most interesting carved monuments such as the Treasury (El Khazneh - a tomb of a Nabatean king) then the field of tombs, obelisks and the altar (Al Madhbah) - from this point you can view the whole of the city. After the visit return to Wadi Musa.

Day 2 - Tiberias

Breakfast at the hotel Begin your gastronomic adventure in Israel in the Golan Heights, which few people know has become a magnet for wine, food and olive-oil connoisseurs. Wine, oil and livestock have been the traditional produce of the Golan for centuries. One of the finest illustrations of this fact is the Talmudic village of Katsrin, where wine- and oil-presses have been discovered, and an oil press is on display and even used. After a short tour of the ancient village, you can proceed to the nearby industrial zone to visit the Eden Water Mineral Water Plant and Katsrin's winery, one of many in the Golan Heights.

Drive north through the Druze villages of Buk'ata and Mas'ade, stopping for the special Druze pita bread, cheese and zaatar (The biblical hyssop). Descend from the Golan to the Hula Valley via the headwaters of the Jordan. Due to the abundance of water, the area is dotted with fish ponds. Dinner at a fish restaurant is a great choice in this region.

In the late afternoon, head down to the Sea of Galilee to enjoy a fish dinner along the lakefront, the local favorite being St. Peter's (tilapia). Overnight at the Hula Valley or the Tiberias area.

Breakfast at the hotel Start the day at the Hula Nature Reserve. The reserve has lovely walking trails, including a "floating bridge" over the wetland, and special lookout points where visitors can observe the wild birds. In the spring of 1994, another stage in the campaign to restore the Hula Valley was completed: the flooding of 250 acres of uncultivated land, located approximately two kilometers north of the Hula Nature Reserve. Day 4 - Tiberias,Tel Aviv

Day 5 - Tel Aviv,Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel Begin you day with a visit to Jaffa, where you can buy the freshest bread for miles around at the bakery on Jaffa's main drag, Yefet Street, a favorite with locals that does its best business on Saturday nights.

Stroll the alleyways of old Jaffa and enjoy the artists colony, the picturesque fishermen's port, the archaeological remains and restaurants. Neve Tsedek, the first Jewish neighborhood outside the walls of old Jaffa, is now a gentrified part of town that is one of the city's cultural hubs as well. Take highway 1 to Jerusalem via the Judean Mountains. A scenic detour through the Eshtaol Forest near Beit Shemesh will showcase the region of Samson's exploits and includes Tel Zor'a, where Samson's traditional tomb is located. As a Nazirite, this biblical strongman wasn't allowed to drink wine. Day 6 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel Start your visit in Israel's capital at the Tower of David Museum dedicated to the history of Jerusalem from the founding of the city to modern times, in its unique location in the old Turkish citadel near the Old City's Jaffa Gate. Continue to the Jewish Quarter, which was home to European and Sephardic Jews who prayed and studied during the centuries under Ottoman rule, to visit the Broad Wall, a 2,700 year old defensive fortification; the Ariel - First Temple period museum; and Herodian Mansions. Descend from the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall, the last remnant of the Herodian Temple Mount. Visit the Southern Wall Excavations. Walk on the original street from two thousand years ago, climb the ancient steps, and visit the Multimedia Davidson Center, in the basement of an eighth-century CE building.

Wander the Old City markets, steeping yourself in its sights, sounds and aromas, and try your hand at hunting and bargaining for treasures.

Day 7 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel Start the day with a Visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, Walk through the astounding new Museum with its new and moving focus on the individual in the Holocaust, the Children's Memorial and Hall of Remembrance. Drive through the New City viewing old and new neighborhoods and the Knesset (The Israeli Parliament) (open for visits on Sundays and Thursdays) and the beautifully designed Supreme Court building. At the nearby Israel Museum, among many other fascinating exhibits discover the mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book and see the Model of ancient Jerusalem.

For a change of pace visit Mahane Yehuda, the produce market of the capital, where a number of good restaurants have opened there lately, in the old stone buildings. Finish the day with optional evening tours that explore the development of Jerusalem from the 19th century on. Day 8 - Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel Get an early start today and drive south to the Dead Sea and Massada, taking the cable car to the top to view the ruins of King Herod's mountaintop fortress and the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in 73 CE, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the new museum in the Visitor Center, which reveals the secrets of the daily life of the rebels, the story of the excavations, and how the site became one of Israel's most important t tant symbols.

After a dip in the healthful waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest, saltiest body of water on earth, continue through the desert town of Arad to enjoy Bedouin hospitality in the Nokdim Farm or in the picturesque village of Drejat; before heading back to central Israel.
