Day 2 - Rotorua

Transfer from hotel in Auckland to hotel in Rotorua, en route enjoy a guided tour of Waitomo Glowworm Caves (Seat in Coach).

Travel south to arrive at Waitomo for a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Then continue over the Mamaku Ranges to reach the 'Thermal City' of Rotorua.

Following this, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand's trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry.

Day 4 - Napier


Transfer from hotel in Rotorua to hotel in Napier, en route visit LakeTaupo (Seat in Coach).

Travel the forested road from Rotorua to arrive in Taupo. Lake Taupo is roughly the size of Singapore and a popular holiday spot for New Zealanders. Continue over rugged mountain ranges and well cultivated farmland to arrive on the east coast and the 'Art Deco' city of Napier.

Day 5 - Napier

The day is at leisure to explore Napier. You can opt to take an Art Deco walking tour or enjoy a vintage car sightseeing tour of the city. This afternoon enjoy a wine tour that visits and includes tastings of 3 local wineries.

Day 6 - Wellington

Today travel through the Manawatu Gorge to Palmerston North. Enjoy a spectacular view while travelling down the Kapiti Coast formerly known as "The Golden Coast" line for almost 140kms to arrive in the capital city of Wellington.

Day 7 - Wellington

Today, you will be transferred to the airport in Wellington for your flight back home.

Day 2 - Rotorua

Transfer from hotel in Auckland to hotel in Rotorua, en route enjoy a guided tour of Waitomo Glowworm Caves (Seat in Coach).

Leaving Auckland in the morning, we travel through the lush farmland of the Waikato and King Country regions. Drive past Rangiriri, location of the historic Maori Land Wars site.

On arrival in the small town of Waitomo, enjoy a guided tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves with their amazing stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations. We finish the tour with a silent boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto - a subterranean cavern lit up by the lights of thousands of tiny glowworms.

We then continue our journey this afternoon by driving to Rotorua, through the forested Mamaku Ranges, and the beautiful Fitzgerald Glade, where the roadside trees arch overhead to form a tunnel of natural greenery.

Rotorua is a compact package of natural beauty, from forested hills, and geysers (that spout up to 50 feet into the air) to mud stream vents and has the combination of beauty and excitement.

Travel south to reach the popular lake resort of Taupo and along the shores of Lake Taupo to Turangi before continuing on the Desert Road dominated in the background by the three peaks of Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro. Continue south through lush farmland before arriving in the 'Capital City' of Wellington. Wellington - the Capital of New Zealand is a cosmopolitan city with the most spectacular skyline of all major cities in New Zealand.

The rest of the day is at leisure in this compact city, filled with culture and character. Nestled between the harbour and the hills, the downtown area is ideal for explorations on foot. Enjoy cafes, restaurants, museums and all kinds of shops. Dance, theatre and musical performances are a Wellington specialty.

Day 6 - Christchurch

Journey across Cook Strait, which separates the North and South Islands of New Zealand and into the Marlborough Sounds with its sparkling clear waters and lush forests before arriving in Picton. Travel south through the towns of Blenheim and Kaikoura before you turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to reach the 'Garden City' of Christchurch. Christchurch is New Zealand's second-largest city and the gateway to the South Island.

Day 7 - Queenstown

This morning, travel through the rich pastoral farm land of the Canterbury Plains and the ever-changing spectacular scenery of the foothills of the Southern Alps, before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Continue south to the small town of Twizel before travelling through the historic Central Otago region to Lake Wakatipu and the 'Alpine Resort' of Queenstown, exciting, sophisticated and fantastically scenic. It's the place to source almost any kind of adventure, including bungy, jet boating, horse trekking, rafting and river surfing. It's also a destination for luxury experiences - gourmet food and wine, spa treatments and leisurely games of golf. Upon arrival, check in and unwind at your hotel. Enjoy Milford Sound Cruise (Seat in Coach).

Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls.

Day 9 - Queenstown

The day is at leisure. Almost everywhere you turn in this tourist capital of the South Island, you are hit with another postcard scene... beautiful Lake Wakatipu, snow capped mountain peaks, canyon gorges with rushing rivers, mountain forests and abundant wildlife and the list goes on! Why not bungy jump from the top of the world's best-loved Bungy site, the Kawarau Bungy Centre (optional), take a cruise aboard the TSS Earnslaw steamship (optional) Or let your adrenal rush as you zoom down the river on a Jet Boat Ride (optional). Day 6 - Christchurch

Journey across Cook Strait, which separates the North and South Islands of New Zealand and into the Marlborough Sounds with its sparkling clear waters and lush forests before arriving in Picton. Travel south through the towns of Blenheim and Kaikoura before you turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to reach the 'Garden City' of Christchurch. Day 7 - Queenstown

This morning, travel through the rich pastoral farm land of the Canterbury Plains and the ever-changing spectacular scenery of the foothills of the Southern Alps, before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Continue south to the small town of Twizel before travelling through the historic Central Otago region to Lake Wakatipu and the 'Alpine Resort' of Queenstown, exciting, sophisticated and fantastically scenic. It's the place to source almost any kind of adventure, including bungy, jet boating, horse trekking, rafting and river surfing. It's also a destination for luxury experiences - gourmet food and wine, spa treatments and leisurely games of golf. Upon arrival, check in and unwind at your hotel. Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls.

Day 9 - Queenstown

The day is at leisure. Almost everywhere you turn in this tourist capital of the South Island, you are hit with another postcard scene... beautiful Lake Wakatipu, snow capped mountain peaks, canyon gorges with rushing rivers, mountain forests and abundant wildlife and the list goes on! Why not bungy jump from the top of the world's best-loved Bungy site, the Kawarau Bungy Centre (optional), take a cruise aboard the TSS Earnslaw steamship (optional) Or let your adrenal rush as you zoom down the river on a Jet Boat Ride (optional). You also have an option of taking an optional Skydive and experiencing the thrill & excitement of Parachute jumping!!

Travel this morning to 'Aoraki' Mt Cook, or 'the cloud piercer'. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd before travelling across the Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch.

The rest of the day is at leisure. Christchurch has an amazing range of nightlife options, from eclectic urban courtyards to popular riverside pubs.

In the morning, enjoy a city tour of Wellington. There's no better way to discover Wellington's rolling hills, rugged scenic bays and iconic architectural landmarks than on this guided tour. The must-see attractions include the famous Beehive and parliament buildings. The Old Saint Paul's Cathedral is the Southern Hemisphere's finest example of Gothic Revival architecture.
