Day 1 - Chamonix

On arrival at Geneva (Switzerland), you will be welcomed by your local representative and transferred to your hotel in Chamonix.
The French Alpine town of Chamonix is nestled at the crossroads of France, Italy and Switzerland and located at the foothill of the Mont Blanc. Chamonix is probably best known as the skiing and alpine capital of the world. As a destination it has a reputation for the extreme and this, whilst undoubtedly true, can mask a wide array of sporting and leisure activities (particularly in summer), a great nightlife, and superb scenery that can be enjoyed at whichever pace suits you.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the immeasurable beauty of the Mont Blanc. Discover the lively streets of Chamonix which are a colourful mix of sport shops, guide offices, restaurants, bars and cafes.

 

Day 2 - Chamonix

Visit Aiguille Du Midi & Montenvers (on your own).

For more than 50 years, the most famous and highest of the Aiguilles de Chamonix has been an essential world attraction. From the centre of Chamonix, a 20 minutes ride in the Aiguille du Midi cable car takes you to the gateway to the high Alps at a height of 3,842 m. From its height of 3,777m, the Aiguille du Midi and its laid-out terraces offer a 360° view of all the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. A lift brings you to the summit terrace at 3,842m, where you will have a clear view of Mont Blanc. Once at the top, do not miss the gondola lift ride over the Glacier du Geant to the Pointe Helbronner in Italy.

Later, visit Montenvers, the rack railway starts from Chamonix and, in 25 minutes, climbs to an altitude of 1913 metres where it reaches the bottom of the Mer de Glace, France's largest glacier (7km long, 200 m thick). The tour of the "Grotte de Glace" (Ice Cave) takes you into the very heart of the glacier. Re-sculpted every year, it describes the life of mountain people in the early 19th century. It can be entered either by a walk of around 20 minutes on a footpath, or by gondola lift.

Day 3 - Annecy

In the afternoon, transfer to the train station for your train to Lake Annecy.

Travel from Chamonix to Annecy by train. Lake Annecy, the jewel of the Savoy Alps is also called the Alpine Venetia for its canals crossing the historic town. Discover this beautiful town - your passport for health and vitality as well as serenity and relaxation.

On arrival in the romantic town of Lake Annecy, transfer to the hotel.

This morning is at leisure for independent activities.

 

Day 4 - Annecy

Stroll around the colourful, paved streets of Annecy's Old Town, discovering castles and museums or indulge in a wide range of activities from cycling to paragliding, sailing to skiing, there's so much to choose from...even if you choose to do nothing!

Day 5 - Paris

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel from Annecy to Paris by high-speed TGV train.

On arrival at Paris, proceed to your hotel.

Day 6 - Paris

Enjoy Paris Seinorama tour (Seat in Coach).

In the morning, discover the historical landmarks and admire the beautiful architecture of Paris on a Seinorama Tour. See the Place de la Concorde, Avenue Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Cruise on the beautiful River Seine and admire the architecture of the historical monuments and cafe lined boulevards. Enjoy a visit to the 2nd level of the imposing Eiffel Tower for a fabulous overview of the city.

 (Note: During high season months entrance to Eiffel Tower will be replaced with Montparnasse Tower).

Enjoy a day of splendid scenery as you tour the Ring of Kerry which is said to contain some of the most magnificent scenery in Ireland. Pass through the small towns and villages of Killorglin, Cahiriciveen, Waterville, Sneem and finally Molls Gap in the heart of the black mountains.

This morning transfer on your own to the Killarney bus station for your onward journey by public bus.

Day 5 - Galway

Excursion to the Cliffs of Moher (Seat in Coach).

Today, you will leave Galway with a public tour and travel through the Burren to one of Ireland's most famous sights - Cliffs of Moher. You will travel through the Burren: a limestone plateau occupying an area of over one hundred square miles in North Clare. It is an area of scenic attractions where the clear light, reflected from the stone-grey hills, seems to radiate an air of timelessness, which is made more realistic by the presence of the many prehistoric remains that dot the fields and the valleys beneath. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills - a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Later, drive to one of Ireland's most magnificent sights, the Cliffs of Moher, standing 702 feet at their highest point and stretching for 8 kms along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Today, you will leave Galway with a public tour and travel through the Burren to one of Ireland's most famous sights - Cliffs of Moher. You will travel through the Burren: a limestone plateau occupying an area of over one hundred square miles in North Clare. It is an area of scenic attractions where the clear light, reflected from the stone-grey hills, seems to radiate an air of timelessness, which is made more realistic by the presence of the many prehistoric remains that dot the fields and the valleys beneath. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills - a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Later, drive to one of Ireland's most magnificent sights, the Cliffs of Moher, standing 702 feet at their highest point and stretching for 8 kms along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Today, you will leave Galway with a public tour and travel through the Burren to one of Ireland's most famous sights - Cliffs of Moher. You will travel through the Burren: a limestone plateau occupying an area of over one hundred square miles in North Clare. It is an area of scenic attractions where the clear light, reflected from the stone-grey hills, seems to radiate an air of timelessness, which is made more realistic by the presence of the many prehistoric remains that dot the fields and the valleys beneath. Here the unfolding layers of limestone form terraces on the slopes of the hills - a limestone desert but with a quick-changing landscape. Later, drive to one of Ireland's most magnificent sights, the Cliffs of Moher, standing 702 feet at their highest point and stretching for 8 kms along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. Visit to the Giants Causeway and whiskey distillery at Bushmills (Seat in Coach).

As you leave Belfast, you have a short photo-stop at Carrickfergus Castle to give you a taste of what is on offer on the day ahead. Enjoy the first main stop of the day, where the brave can make the terrifying trip across the Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, and back again (March - October only when weather permitting). Then travel onwards to the main highlight of the tour - Giants Causeway, Irelands only world heritage site. You can spend some time climbing over the ancient stones, before making a retreat to one of the tempting cafes or restaurants at the Causeway for lunch. After you re-fuel at the Causeway, you will re-board the coach to move on to the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery at Bushmills. You will have time here to browse in the extensive gift shop, or make a visit to the Bar to have a swift taste or two of the famous tipple! Day 9 - Belfast

Visit to the Giants Causeway and whiskey distillery at Bushmills (Seat in Coach).

As you leave Belfast, you have a short photo-stop at Carrickfergus Castle to give you a taste of what is on offer on the day ahead. Enjoy the first main stop of the day, where the brave can make the terrifying trip across the Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, and back again (March - October only when weather permitting). Then travel onwards to the main highlight of the tour - Giants Causeway, Irelands only world heritage site. You can spend some time climbing over the ancient stones, before making a retreat to one of the tempting cafes or restaurants at the Causeway for lunch. After you re-fuel at the Causeway, you will re-board the coach to move on to the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery at Bushmills. You will have time here to browse in the extensive gift shop, or make a visit to the Bar to have a swift taste or two of the famous tipple! For those who have any energy left after this activity packed day, there is a visit to the ruins of the ancient Dunluce Castle. You can then relax on the journey back to Belfast.
