Later, visit the Solang Valley, a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. This valley offers breathtaking views of glaciers, snow-capped mountains, peaks and lush greenery of the dense forest.

Day 2 - Chail

After breakfast, proceed to Chail en route visit the local sightseeing of Kasauli covering Monkey Point, Hanuman Temple & Sunset point.

Situated at the highest peak of Kasauli, Monkey Point offers a scenic view of the hills, valleys and the plains below, with the meandering Sutlej and the distant plains of Chandigarh. Besides offering panoramic views, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is also situated here.

Later visit the Sunset point. Situated on the Upper Mall, Sunset Point is a popular tourist spot offering a spectacular view of the sunset and the surrounding areas. One can even get a view of Chandigarh city from this point on a clear day.

Day 3 - Chail

After breakfast, proceed for the local sightseeing tour of chail covering Chail Palace, Kali ka tibba, Cricket Ground.

Chail Palace - The Palace hotel, is located in Chail, Himachal Pradesh. It was built by Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh. Chail is surrounded with magnificent deodar forests, and Shimla was directly visualized. Most importantly, it is situated at an altitude of 2226 m higher than the normal sea level.

Situated at the top of a hill, Kali ka Tobba is also known as kali Devi Temple. The temple is a popular religious spot in Chail and is also known for some breath-taking views and sceneries.

Cricket Ground - Located 7500 feet above sea level, Chail Cricket Ground is one of the famous cricket stadiums in India. This Himachal Pradesh cricket ground is also the highest cricket ground in the world. For this reason, it is also included in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Day 4 - Shimla

After breakfast, proceed to Shimla. En route visit Naldehra & Kufri.

Naldehra is renowned for its 9-hole Golf Course, the oldest in the country. Perched at an altitude of 2,200 meters, it was established in 1905 by British Viceroy, Lord Curzon.

Kufri - The hill station Kufri is just 16 km from Shimla, at the height of 2,633 mts, famous for its trekking and hiking trails. It is also known for nature parks and picnic spots. It also has a Potato Research Station. It is famous for winter sports.

Visit Viceregal l Lodge, - Situated atop the Observatory hill is the Viceregal Lodge, one of the most imposing British-raj building, built in 1888 in the English Renaissance style. Also known as Rashtrapati Niwas, it was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin, was the venue for many important decision, which changed the fate of the sub-continent. It is quite befittingly the only building in Shimla that occupies a hill by itself.

Further visit Christ Church - Christ Church one of the first churches built in North India. Jakhoo Temple - This temple of Lord Hanuman, the most faithful aide to Lord Rama is located in the thick forests of Jakhu hills. Situated at the highest peak in the hill capital of Himachal, at about 8500 feet in the east of historical ridge ground in Shimla, the temple is said to be existing from the times of Ramayana.

Lastly visit Mall road - which is considered as the main street in Shimla, Scandal Point - The mysterious Scandal Point is the place where two of the most important roads of the city, the Mall and the Ridge road meet and Lakkad Bazaar - known for wooden toys and articles.

Perched almost 1,500 metres above sea level, this hilltop retreat is named after David Mcleod, the lieutenant governor of Punjab in 1848. It is a very popular learning center of Tibetan culture and the teachings of Buddhism. It is home to several monasteries, including the Namgyal monastery. Later, we proceed to Dalhousie. In the afternoon, visit the Martyr\'s memorial at Panchpulla which commemorates Ajit Singh, a supporter of Subhash Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army during World War II.

The day is at leisure to explore this picturesque town. Or you can opt for Rohtang Pass (Closed on Tuesday's). Rohtang Pass offers magnificent views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. It was the medieval trading route to Lahaul and Spiti. If roads to Rohtang Pass are closed, then visit Snow Point where ponies / horses can be hired (On direct payment).

Note: (Only local vehicles are allowed for Rohtang Pass / Snow point visit).

Day 6 - Manali,Dharamshala

Today, your picturesque journey continues to Dharamshala, the principal township of Kangra district which overlooks the wide spread plains with pine and deodar forests. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.

Later, visit St. John's Church and Tibetan Market.

St. John's Church, a grey stone structure built in 1852. Brass plaques and superb Belgian stained-glass windows can be seen inside the church.

Day 7 - Dharamshala,Dalhousie

In the morning, visit McLeod Ganj - the residence of His Holiness Dalai Lama.

Mcleodganj is the headquarters of the Tibetan Government in exile and abode of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama. Perched almost 1,500 metres above sea level, this hilltop retreat is named after David Mcleod, the lieutenant governor of Punjab in 1848. It is a very popular learning center of Tibetan culture and the teachings of Buddhism. It is home to several monasteries, including the Namgyal monastery. Later, we proceed to Dalhousie. On arrival, check-in to the hotel.

In the afternoon, visit the Martyr's memorial at Panchpulla which commemorates Ajit Singh, a supporter of Subhash Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army during World War II.

En route visit Satdhara, acquiring its name from the seven gorgeous springs and said to contain mica and medicinal properties which are able to alleviate several ailments.

Day 8 - Dalhousie

Today, proceed for an excursion to Khajjar Lake. The picturesque Khajjiar Lake is located 23 km from Dalhousie in Khajjiar, which is often labelled as the mini Switzerland of India. Fed by small streams, this lake rests in the centre of the large glade of Khajjiar, surrounded by evergreen cedars. It takes its name from Khajjinag, the deity in the temple nearby.
