Today, explore Rome at your own pace on an extensive hop-on hop-off itinerary through the heart of Rome. Day 3 - Florence

This morning, transfer from your hotel to train station in Rome train.

Travel by train to Florence, the birthplace of Renaissance. Also known as the city of Lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzo dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself.

Day 4 - Florence

This morning, transfer from to train station in Florence.

Travel to the magical city of Venice by train. Venice is just as romantic and beautiful as it looks in travelogues and movies. The piazzas and singing gondoliers, the idiosyncratic buildings and water taxis are all there to be seen, admired and photographed for posterity.

On arrival at Venice, proceed to your hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure. You can choose an optional guided walking tour of Venice, or explore the city (on your own). This evening enjoy touring the canals of Venice, an ultimate romantic experience on the Gondola Serenade.

Day 6 - Venice

Excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello (Shared Boat).

This morning, enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Day 6 - Lake Como

This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by train from Venice to Lake Como. Truly beautiful! This jewel in the crown of Italy's famous lakes is a haven of tranquility, superb cuisine, majestic snow capped mountains, courteous folk and style. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

On arrival in Como, proceed to the hotel. The old town is still to this day protected by high walls, but is populated by small and interesting local and designer shops. Strolling through these streets is part of the local culture. Grab a latte at one of the many street cafes and watch the elegant procession of young and old alike in all their finery.

Day 7 - Lake Como

Today, explore Lake Como at your leisure, relax in the cafe's, people watch, drink pure Italian coffee, absorb the history and elegance, you will be amazed by the spectacular scenery.

Day 8 - Milan

Today, check-out from your hotel and proceed to the train station.

Travel from Lake Como to Milan by train.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel in Milan on your own.

Hop on Hop tour of Milan (Seat in Coach).

Later in the afternoon explore Milan at your own on Hop On Hop Off Tour and see the most interesting sites of the city including the Duomo, Milan's most famous landmark.

This morning, transfer from your hotel to train station in Rome train.

Florence, also known as the city of the lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzi dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself. Excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello (Seat in Coach).

This morning enjoy an excursion to Murano, Burano & Torcello. Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. This morning, transfer to the train station.

Travel by train from Venice to Lake Como. Truly beautiful! This jewel in the crown of Italy's famous lakes is a haven of tranquility, superb cuisine, majestic snow capped mountains, courteous folk and style. Lake Como is 50 km long and west of Menaggio is where the lake splits in two. The mountains around the lake are 2000 m high and the lake up to 1350 feet deep, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

On arrival in Como, proceed to the hotel. The old town is still to this day protected by high walls, but is populated by small and interesting local and designer shops. Strolling through these streets is part of the local culture. Grab a latte at one of the many street cafes and watch the elegant procession of young and old alike in all their finery.

Day 1 - Amalfi

 

Welcome to Italy the land of the Mystique! On arrival in Naples, proceed to the train station for your train to Salerno.

Travel by train to Salerno.

Arrive Salerno and proceed to the coastal beach town of Amalfi by a ferry or public coach.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the fabulous scenery and stunning panorama of the bay.

Day 2 - Amalfi

Spend the day at leisure. Discover the natural beauty of this charming fishing village with cliffs terraced with scented lemon groves which sheer down into the sparkling seas; whitewashed villas which cling precariously to unforgiving slopes while sea and sky merge in one vast blue horizon. Day 3 - Rome

This morning, transfer from hotel in Amalfi Coast to Salerno train station on your own by a Ferry or Public Coach.

This morning, transfer to the train station for your train to Florence.

Travel by train from Rome to Florence.

Also known as the city of Lily, the fame of Florence rests on its age-old image as the Italian hub of Renaissance art and architecture in Europe. With statues and sculptures dotting the piazzas, domes and towers surpassing the height of the sky, palatial palazzo dominating the cityscape, Florence is a beautiful gallery full of gleam and glory, in itself.

This afternoon, embark on a splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops. The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass. Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace.
