Meet up with your Contiki team before we hit the road and take a ferry past the White Cliffs of Dover. Next stop: the buzzing, free-wheeling city of Amsterdam. Check out Amsterdam's eye-opening Red Light District, where the creative and wacky come together on narrow cobbled streets, 24/7.
With an optional evening canal cruise, you've got a chance to get to know the group, unwind with a few drinks and uncover Amsterdam at water level. Get some pointers on the city's hot spots from your Trip Manager and head into town for a fun night out.

Experience Amsterdam's coffee shops, museums and cool, quirky boutiques. In your free time, wander along shady canals and pass gabled houses or hop on two wheels like the laid-back locals and bike through the centre of town. Chill out while the coach follows the Rhine River, weaving through valleys dotted with castles and vineyards.
Next stop - the pretty, old-world village of St. Goar, complete with fairy tale castle and the world's largest free-hanging cuckoo clock! Kick back with a glass of local wine and choose to find out more with the optional wine tasting in a candlelit underground cellar.

Travelling south, pull into the home of the world-famous Oktoberfest, Munich - a city that blends traditional Bavarian culture with modern lifestyle. Explore the heart of Munich's old town with the crew, and head to Marienplatz. It's a central gathering spot famous for the Glockenspiel - a Gothic clock, complete with 32 dancing figures and 43 chiming bells.
Get off the beaten track and onto Munich's side streets with our Local Guide on a fun biking tour around the city - it's a great way to see the sights. Then, get a taste of tradition at a typical beer hall. Park yourself at a long wooden table, order yourself some hearty local food, like roasted pork knuckle, and quench your thirst with a stein of one of Germany's 5000 brews.
On the coach, take it easy and catch up on some sleep or watch the world go by as we wind through the Bavarian Alps and the Brenner Pass to Italy, land of passion! But first, pull into Innsbruck, a down-to-earth student city.
Walk around the medieval streets of the old town, grab some lunch, and check out Innsbruck's landmark Golden Roof and Royal Palace. Make sure you catch a glimpse of the impressive Olympic Ski Jump, used in both the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics.

Known as the "floating city", Venice is packed with character, crammed with hidden lanes and linked by a network of canals. The group travels on our private boat through the waters of the lagoon to visit the city's historical heart. The limestone Bridge of Sighs, the Gothic arches of the Doge's Palace and the expanse of St. Mark's Square (pigeons and all!) show off Venice's unique beauty and way of life.
Take some time to explore the floating city and lose yourself in the backstreets. There's an optional walking tour where you can discover the labyrinth of interweaving lanes, waterways, palaces, piazzi and markets with our Local Guide. You'll see historic monuments, hidden treasures and the Rialto market - a local favourite for food shopping. Maybe grab a table on St. Mark's Square and eat some delicious Italian food al fresco. With down-time on the coach, plug in your MP3, chill out to some music and chat with friends while travelling through the scenic wine producing region of Burgundy. Tonight, the group kick-starts Paris with the 'Tour of Illuminations', which shows off the French capital's transformation into the "City of Lights". Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafes give us a real taste of Paris' romance.
Your Trip Manager will fill you in on the world's most-recognised monuments, like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Then get a stunning view of the entire city with included entry to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Oui, oui, Paris!

Next up: Fragonard! This perfumery has an elegant interior and is a unique setting for a look into the history of perfume. It's also a chance to pick up some French perfume at great prices. This town is loaded with possibilities. Discover its many bistros, museums, tree-lined avenues and diverse quartiers (neighbourhoods). Get a feel for French flair by window shopping on the Left Bank. Step into the Notre Dame or explore the endless galleries of the Louvre, where you can get up close to the famous Mona Lisa.
In your free time, try indulging in some delicious pastries and relax in one of Paris' many city parks. Tonight is the last night with your friends, so make it special. Treat yourself to the full Parisian experience with a cabaret show, complete with can-can girls, dinner and Champagne. But don't stop there - afterwards hit the clubs and finish up your travels with a big Parisian night out.

Welcome to your 'Cox & Kings European Rhapsody' tour. Today proceed for a short orientation tour of Zurich strolling down Bahnhofstrasse - the city's fanciest shopping street, past famous sights like Peterskirche (St. Peter's Church) situated in a medieval square, famous for its 16th Century clock, the largest clock face in Europe. The elegant copper spire of the Fraumunster found in the 9th Century with impressive stained glass windows. Later your drive takes you to picture perfect Austria, enroute, pause at the principality of Liechtenstein and stop at Vaduz - the capital, to enjoy a short orientation. Vaduz is famous for its postage stamps. Next halt at the internationally renowned Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, and prepare to be dazzled at the 'Chambers of Wonder'! Today, your journey takes you on a drive past quaint villages, medieval castles and fruit orchards and cutting across the fertile Adriatic Plains, to the magical lagoon city of Venice. Nothing prepares you for the captivating city of canals and palaces - Venice is simply unique! Built on 117 small islands, it is a pedestrian's city, so get set for a walking tour. Cruise from Tronchetto Pier and glide romantically past fairytale palaces, through incredible miniature canals to the Piazza San Marco (St. Marks Square), where you disembark. Napoleon dubbed the Square the 'finest drawing room in Europe' for its constant carnival atmosphere! Witness the bronze Moors striking the hour, as they have been doing for the past 500 years! From there to the Doge's Palace, connected by the 'Bridge of Sighs' to its prisons. It was from here that the legendary lover Casanova made his famous escape! End this exciting tour with a brief visit to a Murano Glass Showroom (When open) for a demonstration in glass blowing. It was on the island of Murano that glass was first made in Europe and hand blown Venetian glass is world famous. Later check-in to the hotel. Overnight in Padova. Drive across the Apennine Mountains, along the Brenta River past Bologna, to Pisa - the hometown of Galileo and a city, which makes the most of its claim to fame from its Leaning Tower! It has leaned almost since construction first started, due to the swampy soil beneath it. At a photo stop here, note its striking beauty along with its characteristic tilt. It is the Duomo's (Cathedral), Bell Tower together with the Baptistery, these are all a part of the Field of Miracles. Continue to Florence, to the magical Piazzale Michelangelo for a view of the city. After an exciting tour, drive through a stretch of olive groves and vineyards to the Tuscany region where on arrival you will be checked in to your hotel. Overnight in Arezzo. Today, after breakfast we will drive towards Rome. 'Rome was not built in a day'- the truth of this oft quoted adage hits you with full force, as we pack in all the 'must see' agenda into our guided panoramic city tour ! According to legend, Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus in 753 BC. Start your introduction to Rome with a journey to The Vatican, the smallest nation in the world! It boasts a priceless art collection and is probably per square foot the richest country in the world! Visit one of the largest churches in the world St. Peter's Basilica with St. Peter's Square. Gaze in awe at Michelangelo's Pieta. Continue your tour driving past the triumphal Arch of Constantine, one of the most important commemorative monuments of antiquity and then drive through Piazza Venezia, where the grandiose monument to the reunification of Italy is often referred to as the Marble wedding cake! Pass the Circus Maximus - the Hippodrome - known for its ancient chariot races, which was reconstructed by Hollywood for the well known movie 'Ben Hur'! Later, drive back to your hotel. Note: Due to Rome city regulations, certain roads may be off limits for long distance coaches. This may result in the Rome sightseeing being done partly by foot public transport. Overnight in Arezzo. After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable drive to the scenic splendour of Chamonix Mont Blanc. It's 'Love at first sight' as you enter the beautiful Chamonix Valley and the majestic mountains of the Mont Blanc range. Whilst all the Hindi movies have launched the Swiss Alps, Cox & Kings is the first to introduce the French Alps to India and the home of Mont Blanc, famous for its pens and accessories. Today, enjoy our excursion tour - a ride on the highest and most impressive cable car, the Aiguille du Midi, lifts you to 3842 meters for an unforgettable view of the Alps. The more fearless will take A STEP INTO THE VOID, onto a 2.50 m glass cage out over a 1000 m precipice. A product of modern architectural and technical prowess and a sensation packed experience. The Aiguille du Midi has its own postage stamp and a letterbox! Continue your excursion with a ride on the nostalgic red cog railway to Montenvers. The train climbs a steep track, through scenic alpine scenery, to a stunning vantage point above the 'Mer de Glace' (sea of ice) Glacier. You know you've really arrived when you stand at 1913 meters, at the 'Mer de Glace', which is 7 kms long and 200 meters thick, with a surface dimension of 40 kms! A crystal gallery, a wildlife exhibition, an ice garden and the famous ice grotto 100 meters long, carved each year into the heart of the glacier, awaits you! After dinner, return to the hotel. Today, after breakfast, check out and drive to Lucerne witnessing picturesque mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and meadows. Pause at the poignant Lion Monument, built to commemorate the brave Swiss soldiers killed during the French Revolution. Stroll along the covered, wooden Kappellbrucke (chapel bridge), to the ornate Jesuit Church. You will have your first encounter with the marvels of Swiss shopping. Most visitors take home two things - memories of a beautiful country and a Swiss watch. Good times need never end!
