Day 2 - Madrid,Coimbra

Visit fortified Avila with its intact medieval city walls, then on to Salamanca. Make sure you spend some time wandering around Salamanca's Plaza Mayor, considered the most beautiful square in Spain. Journey into the valley of the Serra da Estrela on your way to Coimbra in Portugal. (B,D)

Day 3 - Coimbra,Lisbon

Enjoy an orientation tour of Coimbra, strategically situated on a hill overlooking the Mondego River. Continue to Fatima to see the SANCTUARY, a famous pilgrimage site where the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children-Francisco, Jacinth, and Lucia-on May 13, 1917. On to Obidos, a fortified city still flanked by towers and bastions overlooking the countryside dotted with windmills. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

Day 4 - Lisbon

Henry the Navigator made Lisbon the 15th-century "Mistress of the Seas". You'll see his monument, the Belem Tower, the Moorish Citadel, the impressive Black Horse Square, and other highlights on the guided city tour. Spend the afternoon at leisure in the Alfama's tile-decorated streets, or discover the Estoril Coast to Cascais and Sintra by joining our optional excursion. (B)

Day 5 - Lisbon,Seville

Drive into the Alentejo through the countryside, famous for its production of cork. Cross the border at Vila Verde into Spain and journey into Andalusia, enjoying quite different scenery as you skirt the Sierra de Aracena before reaching delightful Seville. (B,D)

Day 6 - Seville

Seville is one of Spain's most colorful and vibrant cities. Enjoy an included sightseeing tour with all the main highlights, including the iconic Plaza de Espana. (B)

Day 7 - Seville,Madrid

Travel to Cordoba, Spain's most Moorish city with its Great Mosque, which is rightly known as one of Isla's greatest pieces of architecture outside the Arab world. On through the very heart of La Mancha, famed for its castles and windmills, to Madrid. This evening, why not join the optional "Madrid by Night" excursion with dinner? (B)

Day 8 - Madrid

Enjoy free time in Madrid, or join the rewarding optional trip to Toledo. The splendid setting of this old walled city above the Tagus was made famous in El Grecos painting-even now, it's like a great open-air museum of Spanish history and art. Later, join the included Madrid city sightseeing. Not only because it's the capital of Spain but also because it is situated 2,180 feet above sea level, the Spaniards say it's the nearest thing to Heaven. (B)

Day 1 - Madrid

On arrival at Madrid Airport, You will be met at the airport by our assistant and transferred to the hotel on shared coach basis.

Check in to your hotel by 1400hrs. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2 - Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel.

See the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Moreria, famous for its historical buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by Phillip II and its Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcala. Admire the XIX C. works such as Prado Museum.

The contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Via, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabeu Football Stadium. A stop will be made at the famous 'Hard Rock Cafe' to enjoy a free drink.

Afternoon is free to explore the city on your own (no drop at the hotel).

Day 3 - Seville

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today morning check out of the hotel as you are picked up at your hotel and transfer to bus terminal, located in the underground parking of the Plaza de Oriente.

Drive along La Mancha, Don Quixote's land. Brief stop at typical site in Puerto Lapice. Cross through the natural border of 'Despenaperros' and get into Andalusia, a region for itself that shows and enormous heritage from a splendorous past. Reach Cordoba. Impressive tour of its Mosque and other sites that will ease our mind and spirit strolling through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter.

In the afternoon, after a short two hours ride reach Seville.

Day 4 - Seville

Breakfast at the hotel. Today morning enjoy panoramic city tour of Seville. Visit the exterior (outside) of the Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome, Santa Cruz quarter (a natural scenario of 'Carmen' as well as a precisely where the myth of 'Don Juan' developed), Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de Espana. Afternoon at leisure for you to discover exclusive views, specific flavours of this active full of light city.

In the evening enjoy Optional Flamenco tour.

Day 5 - Costa Del Sol

This morning after breakfast drive south passing typical villages.

Reach Ronda; free time to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvelous view of the valley and mountain range. In the afternoon continue on to the Costa del Sol, one of the most modern and important international tourist areas.

Day 6 - Granada

Breakfast.

Today morning check out as you travel towards the city of Granada and its incredible and amazing monumental environment, last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world famous Alhambra complex and Generalife Gardens, that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the 'Tales of the Alhambra' by W. Irving. Afternoon at leisure. Optional Gipsy Flamenco show at Sacromonte quarter.

Day 7 - Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive northward where it emerges, toward the sky of Castilla and surrounded by the Tagus river, the impressive Imperial city of Toledo - World Heritage City, where the three cultures Christians, Moorish and Jewish, have lived together. Resume of the Spanish art, history and spirituality the whole town is a National Monument. Short guided tour of this historical old town throught its narrow streets. Then proceed with a visit to a famous 'Damasquinado' (gold and silver inlaying in iron) factory.

Continue to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid.

Day 8 - Madrid

This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Madrid Airport for your flight back home.

Day 2 - Granada

Drive south to Toledo. Spectacularly situated on a granite hill surrounded by a loop of the Tagus River, the ancient Castilian capital attracts more visitors from around the world than any other Spanish town. Visit the walled Old Town with a Local Guide and marvel at the 12th-century CHURCH OF ST. TOME, known for its large painting by El Greco of The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. Later, cross the Guadalquivir River and head for the olive and orange groves that dot the rolling Andalusian hills. Overnight in history-steeped Granada at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. (B,D)

Day 3 - Cordoba

Granada was the Arabs most treasured city, and they still mourn its loss in their prayers. With a Local Guide, visit the ALHAMBRA COMPLEX, built by Moorish kings. More grand scenery as you travel to Loja. Captured and held by the Moors, it was formerly known as Medina Lawsa until it was recaptured by the Christians in 1486 during the Reconquista. Explore this \'flower among thorns\' before reaching Montilla to visit a local WINE CELLAR and taste some of its wine. Then, continue to Cordoba on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. (B)

Day 4 - Seville

With a Local Guide visit the magnificent MEZQUITA, famous for its 850 pillars of porphyry, marble, and jasper. Then, travel through the stunningly scenic area of Pueblos Blancos - the 'White - Washed Villages of Andalusia'. This picturesque region is famous for the deep El Tajo gorge that literally cuts it in two, and is the birthplace of modern bullfighting. On to vibrant, festive Seville. (B,D)

Day 5 - Seville

Get to know Seville on the included city tour. Capital of Andalusia and the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, colorful Seville has much to offer: the cathedral, the third-largest church in the world after St. Peter's in Rome and St. Paul's in London; the beautiful La Giralda minaret tower, a symbol of Seville; the Real Alca¡zar palace with its extravagant moorish architecture and opulent gardens; Plaza de Espana, used in the filming of Episodes I and II in the Star Wars trilogy; and so much more. Day 6 - Lisbon

Enjoy the scenery of the Sierra de Aracena before crossing into Portugal and the fertile plains of the Alentejo. Admire the forest of cork trees and make a stop to visit Evora, a delightfully attractive Moorish city with arches, alleys, flower-decked balconies, brilliant white houses, and the Temple of Diana. Continue to Lisbon. (B)

Day 7 - Lisbon

Day 9 - Porto

Discover Oporto's highlights on the guided city tour. See its historical cathedral, overlooking the Port wine cellars along the banks of the Douro River. This afternoon, maybe join an optional excursion to Guimaraes, considered the 'cradle' of Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight, sample local cuisine on the included dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 10 - Salamanca

Enjoy the profusion of woodlands and mountains on your return to Spain via the scenic Douro Valley. Reach the ancient and beautiful university town of Salamanca in the early evening and maybe take a stroll in the Plaza Mayor. (B)

Day 11 - Madrid

Journey to fortified Avila with its many towers and visit ST. THERESA\'s CONVENT before continuing to Segovia, a medieval town picturesquely set on a rocky hill. Spend some time in Segovia before crossing the boundary between new and old Castile to arrive in Madrid. (B)

Day 12 - Madrid

Not only is it the capital of Spain, but because it is situated 2,180 feet above sea level, the Spaniards say Madrid is the nearest thing to Heaven. The day is dedicated to discover Madrid\'s main highlights on the included guided city tour. (B)
