Day 4 - Hoi An

This morning, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport (Flight under own arrangement).

On arrival in Danang, you will be transferred to your hotel in Hoi An.

Enjoy a tour of the quaint, historic old town. Later, enjoy a short boat ride to a nearby island to visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics and also the boat building yards.

Day 5 - Hue

This morning, transfer from Hoi An to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. The scenic route passes through Danang before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co.

In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour in the former city of the Nguyen Emperors, including highlights such as the Royal Palace, the forbidden city, the Citadel, the tomb of Khai Dinh and the tomb of Tu Duc.

Day 6 - Halong

After lunch, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Hanoi (Flight under own arrangement).

On arrival at the airport, travel to Halong Bay through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Halong Bay features more than one thousand awesome limestone karsts and islands of various sizes and shapes along the 120-km coastline of Bai Chay Beach. Its waters are host to a great diversity of ecosystems including offshore coral reefs, freshwater swamp forests, mangrove forests, small freshwater lakes, and sandy beaches.

Enjoy a boat trip on Perfume River (Private).

This morning, enjoy a romantic boat trip on the \'Perfume River\' with the sweet scent of tropical flowers and alluring folk music adding to the charm of the experience. The Song Huong River is popularly known as the Perfume River because of the fragrant smell it carries from the thick forest through which it flows. It then meanders its way through Hue in the central Vietnamese province of Thua Thein. Laze around in the boat and enjoy the scenic beauty along this 30 km long river, which flows past many villages. Visits Hue\'s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes.

Day 7 - Hanoi

Transfer from hotel in Halong Bay to hotel in Hanoi, en route cruise along the Halong bay and visit to the But Thapa Pagoda (Private).

This morning, board the Huong Hai or Bai Tho traditional sailing junk. Visit the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit. Disembark at the dock at Halong City.

Drive back to Hanoi with a stop en route at But Thapa Pagoda in Thuan Thanh Province, known for its four-storey stone stupa and referred to as Vietnam\'s first Buddhist centre. The pagoda, built in the 13th century and rebuilt in 1647 by the Buddhist monk Chuyet Chuyet, is a complex of ten buildings over an area of 100 meters that houses ancient statues and artifacts.

On your arrival in Halong, you will be escorted to your junk (Shared Deluxe Junk) for a 5-hour cruise on the emerald green waters of Halong Bay. Day 3 - Hanoi

This morning, you will be transferred to the airport. (Flight under own arrangement).

On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Hanoi ranks among the world's most attractive and interesting cities. The city's placid air gives it a gracious, almost regal flavor, underscored by a rich history that traces back more than a thousand years -- a fascinating heritage on display in well-preserved centuries-old architecture.

Later, enjoy the essential sites of Hanoi on a city tour which includes the Ho Chi Minh Complex, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Museum of Ethnology and the Fine Art Museum. To complete the day, take a cyclo tour, a chauffeur-pedalled tricycle, through Hanoi's Old Quarter, also known as the '36 streets'. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It\'s a great place to explore, especially by cyclo, with plenty of photo opportunities all around you.

Day 4 - Hanoi

Enjoy a visit to Halong Bay (Private).

Today, depart in the morning to Halong Bay. The journey will take you through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta. Observe everyday life of Vietnamese villages as you see the villagers work the local rice fields, take live pigs to market on bicycles and plough the fields with their large water buffaloes. On your arrival in Halong, you will be escorted to your junk (Shared Deluxe Junk) for a 5-hour cruise on the emerald green waters of Halong Bay. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch as you cruise among some of the spectacular 3,000 limestone islands. Return to Hanoi and transfer back to the hotel.

Take in the Cholon Chinese district and Thien Hau Pagoda, Reunification Hall (former Presidential Palace), War Remnants museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post office, a lacquer ware factory, Opera House, City Hall and shop for great bargains at Ton Thiep Street.
