A three-star hotel, Barwara Kothi, Jaipur, is a colonial bungalow, which is a throwback to the British Era. The bungalow, once the residence of the royal family of Barwara is spread over 2000 square yards of lush green, and is awaiting guests with open arms, to pamper them and leave them with a once in a life time experience. The building was built by the erstwhile prince of Barwara, Raja Man Singh, a close friend and associate of the Maharaja of Jaipur. The walls of the hotel are still adorned with photographs dating back to the Kothi's royal past. The Barwara family was one amongst the five noble families of Jaipur and had their family fortress at Barwara which is close to the Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary. Famous for their traditional hospitality, the Barwara family is known to personally look after the guests at the Barwara Kothi Hotel. Guests at the Barwara Kothi can, hence, experience the comforts of homestay, only in this case they are treated as guests in a truly royal palace.
