About Casa Deep Woods

Right in the foothills of the Nilgiris and cradled in the Mudumulai forests, lies this pretty resort and a perfect getaway. Mudumulai itself is a storehouse of rare fauna and this subtropical nature reserve also hosts the Indian Tiger and the Asian Elephant, the pride of the animal kingdom. The resort has been, as it were, built around trees and this dense vegetation comes alive even more with the gurgling sound of the jungle stream which runs through Casa Deep Woods. With the breathtaking Nilgiri ranges as the backdrop, the resort comes alive with many of the recreational activities it organises for its guests. The nature treks and the wildlife safaris in search of the tigers are easily the most alluring, besides the mountain biking and the sightseeing treks to Ooty and Coonoor. The guests also love the barbeques by the stream and the night safaris.

• * Casa Deep Woods is located on Highway NH7 and is 135 kms. from Coimbatore Airport, 100 kms. from Mysore Railway Station and only 30 kms. from Ooty Railway Station. It is not only easily accessible from both Bangalore and Mysore, but a drive from either of the places or even from Ooty can be memorable, specially so as one is often waylaid by the deer company or even peacocks strutting around in full plume. Not a usual sight on a city road, one must agree!!
