This hotel was previously a private family Palace. It is pink on the exterior and very colonial in style. All the beautuful gardens have cascading water and an outdoor pool. It is situated in Lapa district on 'Sacramento A Lapa' street. Buses and electric trams are just five minutes walk away. Nearby attractions are Belem Tower, Geronimus Museum and the Museum of Coaches. The rooms situated in the new wing have either garden view or garden and river view. They are large and very richly decorated in pastel shades with wooden floors and are in exceptional condition. The marble bathrooms are also in exceptional condition. The rooms in the Palace wing all have different themes such as Colonial, Indo-Portuguese and Baroque.
