About The Malabar House
The Malabar House is a three-star, luxury heritage property, located at Parade Road in Fort Kochi (formerly Fort Cochin, in the heritage district of Kochi (Cochin city. The history of this heritage hotel dates back many centuries ago, to 1755 when a Dutch trader, Jan Herman Clausing bought the property from Mathew Henrich Beyls. The house changed many hands since then, mostly bought by prosperous spice and tea traders and bankers. In 1996, it was restored and refurbished to become Fort Kochi's first boutique heritage hotel.
